My daughter was 8 pounds when she was born. We thought she would be a big baby gorwing up too. But when we took her for her 6 month check -up she only weighed 15 pounds and 6 ounces. Is that too less. Also she falls between the 25th and 50th percential. Can someone please explain that to me. I know if she falls under the 25th percentile it means she weighs more than 25% of babies. But its just confusing as she falls between 25th and 50th percentile. Also do baby boys weigh more than baby girls. As one of my friends little boy who is 4 months old already weighs 16 pounds (more than my 6 month old). So I'm just worried.

We just had a newborn. I have to work from 8-5pm. My wife is a stay home mom now. In the first week, I tried to help changing the diaper or feed our newborn at night but I didn't have enough sleep and I worn out by the time I am at work.

I told my wife to help me out at night because I need my rest. I did everything after work from changing diaper and feed the baby until around 12 midnight but after that I was so sleepy so I went to bed.

Now my wife complaining that she didn't get enough sleep at night. I told her that she could get sleep time throughout the day but she disagree with me.

Please let me solve this issue

I am going through the teething stage with my 10 month old now..When it's really bad..I give her tylenol infant drops..and she seems to sleep right through it..even through the night..My concerns is if it's safe to give your baby tylenol every night. On the bottle it states not to go over 4 doses a day..

Any opinions welcome..but if there's a pedatritian out there..please comment.

Thanks

My son is almost 6 months old and has been on baby food and cereal for about 2 months. He eats 2 ounces of fruit or veggies at lunch and 2 ounces at dinner and then about 2 ounces of cereal at bedtime. Should I increase it? What is the average amount that he should consume per sitting at this age?

My baby is 3 months and one week old. I would feed him formula at 11:30 pm and then he would wake up around 5 am in the morning for his next feeding. In the past few days however, he has started waking up at 2:30-3 am demanding to eat. Can I start adding some rice cereal to his formula at 11:30 at night to help him sleep better through the night, or is he too young for that?

If your answer has to do with your personal opinion regarding my parenting skills due to my choice to formula feed vs. breast feed, please refrain from answering. Thank you

After I had my baby boy, I totally lost interest in sex in any way. Since I wanted every day before delivery, my husband got used to it and now keeps trying and asking and I just starting to be alergic to any mention of sex, I am afraid I am going to hate it after a while. Did you have the same problem and most importanly, did your sexual apetite come back and when?

I guess i better say what i mean. Is how many times have you heard that people blame other people or things for what they do? Such as this when this person goes to court she could say the microwave didnt say i couldnt nuke the baby. How many people try this to get out of trouble? And i didnt say they should be held responsable. i have kids and love them .BUT you all know how many nut jobs are out there.

At my daughters two month shot appt we found out that she had eczema so the Dr changed her milk to soy. It cleared her skin up beautifully. Now the only thing that we are dealing with now is that since the change she has been very constipated something that didnt happen when she was on the other milk formula. Now I want to know what can I give her to relieve the pain because she crys when she goes, and it seems painful. Or maybe something that can soften her stool to make it more easier for her.

He is currently taking two 8 oz. bottles, one in the morning and one at night. During the day he eats about 3 servings of fruit, 3 servings of veggies, 1 serving of meat, and about 5 oz of juice, he also snacks on cheerios and other finger foods. He is gaining weight steadily, but is not overweight by any means. Our Dr. gave us a very vague answer. I'm worried about him not getting enough formula, but I just don't know where to fit it in.

my baby is almost 8 months. he has amazing balance and i can put him in the top part of a cart , hes sitting and he will hold on and he doesnt fall over or anything he sits there hangs on the the handle and looks around. is he too young or is this ok. i clip him in so hes not totally alone and i never leave the cart alone. i never let go of it i am always there. alot of people freak out at me at stores saying hes to young and he looks so small to sit there while alot of people say he looks 10 months. i just wanted to know what you people think. i dont think there is a problem because he sits so well, and hes doing so good

He didn't used to do this. When we're going for a walk in his stroller the movement used to cause him to fall asleep when he was tired. Now, he just starts crying and won't stop until he's picked up. The one thing that's changed is that we're currently in the middle of sleep training him and that's going really well. He now whines in his crib for about a minute or 2 before falling asleep. Could this be the reason he cries - b/c he's not in his crib, which is where he knows to go to sleep? When will he begin falling asleep by himself again when we're out for walks? BTW, he cries when we're driving too and he gets tired, but b/c i can't pick him up, he falls asleep in the carseat. But in public he cries so loud that i have to pick him up :)

I keep this 5 month old girl. She Cries and cries all day long. There is nothing wrong with her. Shes fed and dry. She doesnt want to lady down, sit up, play on her blanket, she just wants to be held all day long. Its hard to function with her constantly crying. Any advice on what I should do? Should I tell her parents that I cant keep her?

My baby is a supposedly "easy" baby. I am having trouble getting any reassurance because most people tell me to be thankfull that my baby sleeps so much, and to enjoy it while it lasts.
My 2 month old has the following sleep/eat/wake schedule (roughly)...
9pm to 5 am - sleep
5am to 5:30am - eat
5:30am to 8:00am - sleep
8:00am to 8:30am - eat
8:30am to 10:00am - awake
10:00am to 1:pm - sleep
1:00pm to 1:30pm - eat
1:30pm to 2:30pm - awake
2:30pm to 4:00pm - sleep
4:00pm to 4:30pm - eat
4:40pm to 6:00pm - awake
6:00pm to 7:00pm - sleep
7:00pm to 7:30pm - eat
7:30pm to 9pm - awake
When he is awake, he is very mellow. He was full term but had a rough start to his life. Hehas gained weight well, and is growing. My concern is that he doesn't get enough quality awake time to develop as he should. He is 8 weeks old, and still can't hold his head or smile socially. Everyone that I have talked to says not to worry - He will do it when he is ready.
I can't stop worrying! Help
