What is up w/ childrens clothes, they are just mini adult clothes! I have a 4 and 2 year old and I can not find a regular pair of jeans for my 4 year old to save my life, I have looked everywhere! I do not want my 4 year old little girl wearing lowrise jeans w/ belly and cleavage showing shirts! I want my girls to dress as the cute little girls they are not 25 year old adults! I am not a prude, I like low rise jeans...on adults not children. I have to by there shirts bigger so they will be long so there bellies or bums aren't hanging out! I haven't run in to the problem w/ my 2 year old since she is still in the baby sizes by my 4 year old is now in the regular childrens sizes and I cant find age apropriate clothes anywhere! Does anyone else agree w/ me on this one, and if you know where to get regular kids jeans (not lowrise!) I would love to know where!

This parent suggest the kid “it is wrong thing to do or say” almost every hour. I mean these parents are really bitchy. For example, when he game the Christmas present gift card, the parents said that was the worst present ever. Another example is when he was enjoying the listening to music that he likes at music, the parents said “U should turn on the music that everyone likes.” Last example was when he said about emergency while the person was talking to him, he said “where u listening?”From this cause, the kid doesn’t know what to do and what to say, he gets scared to do and say things. He doesn’t have any freedom, Parents treat this kid like a failure, but what made this kid failure is parent. Their parents always talk about negative things about this kid, where the kid can hear. I feel so sorry for this kid. Do u think these parents are bad?

my premature baby ( 32 w 5 d) was bottle fed as soon as she was able to feed, right from the NICU itself. We bottle fed her at home because she was too weak to suckle at the breast. now she is 38 weeks old, almost term and has more strenght to suck. i have been putting her to the breast regularly, even at the NICU so she has learned to suck, but not the stamina. I have noticed every time i try to put her to the breast she fusses, squirms, makes faces and turns away. why does she do this?? right now she is being bottlefed chiefly my expressed breast milk and supplemented with formula.

i met a LC and bought the medela SNS system. if the SNS is fed by finger she takes it well, but if attached to tbe breast she fusses and gets frustrated again, even though she is still getting the same milk flow! why is this???

my milk is slowly but surely drying up, because she's not taking it direclty. i am so depressed that i am not able to help her latch on and breastfeed.

I feel it is always a parent's right to know what is going on with their 14yos and that sexual experimentation - whether it be heterosexual or not - is off base at that age. Yet, 'Margo' doesn't even direct this writer to ask her niece about it.

DEAR MARGO: I was checking out my 12-year-old daughter's MySpace (she knows I do this as a condition of her having it) and found my 14-year-old niece's MySpace (that my brother and sister-in-law do not know she has), where she alluded to having a "relationship" with a lesbian friend. The last time we spoke, my sister-in-law said she was wary of this girl, so I don't know whether I should tell her what I found. They live several states away, and we only see each other a few times a year. Their daughter is a good kid, and I don't want to cause problems, especially if my niece learns how her parents found out.

If it were my daughter, I'd want to know so I could at least talk to her about it. This kid is barely 14 years old.

--- WAVERING AUNTIE

DEAR WAVE: I suggest you say nothing. Assuming the "relationship" is sexual (and it may not be), the youngster is experimenting and should be allowed to do so without parental input -- which would not change the outcome, by the way.

It's not as though your niece is robbing banks and popping Quaaludes, dangerous behavior requiring intervention. She is figuring out her sexuality, and parents trying to steer a child away from a natural inclination are not going to be successful.

When next you talk to your s-i-l, you might ask what she dislikes about this friend, since she told you she is wary of her. If there are complaints about the girl that are valid, they should be the reason to put the kibosh on the friendship, not that she is a lesbian.

--- MARGO, JUDICIOUSLY

My little sister that is twelve and her name is Sarah she has a friend that is also twelve years old her name is Cassandra. Anyways Cassandra has been spending Christmas with us. So anyways there was a knock on the door and I answered it was Cassandra's dad and he just went passed me and grabbed Cassandra by the hair and was like dragging her out. She was screaming in pain. At this time my boyfriend saw this and like sneaked up on him and punched him straight in the face. Cassandras dad fell. So I tried to help Cassandra up and it was the first time I noticed she had bruises and cuts on her arm. (She was wearing long sleaved but it got ripped on a hook on the way out.) I immediately called the cops while my boyfriend ran inside with Cassandra and locked the door. Anyways we were all trying to help Cassandra because she was bleeding a bit and the cops came took her dad away she doesn't have a mom. So shes staying with me for a while until things get sorted. So what now?

my baby is almost 4 weeks and she eats about every 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours with one 4-5 hour stretch during the night (or day she's still kind of random) typically how often do you breastfeed your older babies and how old were they when they started eating less frequent?

(First: Please DO NOT lecture if you are not okay with cross nursing.) My 3 and a half month old nephew is having a lot of problems with formula. He just throws up most of what he eats and is getting really skinny. He has lost way too much weight. They have tried EVERYTHING. Now he is on soy formula. My sister in law wants me to try nursing him and see if breast milk would do any better. Since she is ready to go back to work she said it would be good if I could just nurse him along with my 4 month old durring the day. I am supposed to try tomorrow. Any advice for getting him to latch on? Is it really even possible? I just want to give him the best. I have an over supply so I don't mind at all, I'm just not sure if he'll take it. (although I could just pump and bottle feed him, it would be much easier if he would latch on,) Thanks!

I currently babysit for two twin girls who are eleven years old in the sixth grade. One day one of the girls walked up to me and confided in me. She told me that while her sister slept one night she touched her private parts out of curiosity. She said that her sister was wearing her pajama bottoms the whole time. She told me she felt very bad and with tears in her eyes asked me if she was a child molester. I told her of course she isn't but i had a hard time trying to console her. What is this? Should she feel bad? If a child that still plays with dolls and who is barely out of elementary school touches another child's private area out of curiosity is that child a child molester?

I am recieving child support through FRO from the child's mom of $189.00, and that amount will increase shortly.
Am I a super-minority of a dad with a 4 year old girl?
I'm wondering what challenges I may be up against in the future, other than that mom is having a very hard time with diciplining and control of my daughter, and consequently I am having second thoughts about her visitation (10 hrs a week, two days a week.) as she wants to increase it to home visits. She currently has public access only, and I currently have full custody, with all decisions left to me for last say or approval.
I believe her mental condition is deteriorating, affecting my daughter's behavior. It is otherwise good at school and home.Mom is currently married, but now living separately from her mentally disturbed (since childhood) husband, who threatened to kill my daughter.
Opinions or ideas?

My 3 y.o. daughter is just starting to notice Santa and points him out when we go out. For next year, I'm a little confused about what to tell her about who Santa is and the whole gift issue. Does Santa buy all the gifts or just a few and the parents buy the rest? What do you tell your kids?
