my baby is almost 4 weeks and she eats about every 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours with one 4-5 hour stretch during the night (or day she's still kind of random) typically how often do you breastfeed your older babies and how old were they when they started eating less frequent?

My 8 week old is sleeping from about 11pm until about 5:30am, sometimes longer. She stopped waking up around 3 at about 4-5 weeks. I nurse on demand, so I don't really pay attention to how often I feed her, but it's about every 3-4 hours at least at this point.

My daughter schedule stayed the same, just the amount of milk increased. She ate about every 1.5 to 2 hours. Unfortunately she weaned me by the time she was 5 months...she no longer wanted the breast.

Its so gradual they jsut slow down until they only show up once a day or so. Some of it has to do with getting other food. But before long it will smooth out qite a bit just hang in there.
