Hello Ladies!

My husband and I are curently taking child-preparedness classes from the hospital where I will be delivering. I asked the other day about having the baby in the room with me (since I will be breastfeeding)...the midwife teaching the class told me the hospital encourages the mother to keep the baby with her (for bonding and such).

However, I forgot to ask if my husband will be able to spend the night with me. Not only will I be a little nervous since I have never had to stay in a hospital, but it would be very helpful if he was there to help me with the baby at feedings and getting in and out of bed.

Let me know your experiences with this please :)

My daughter had a check up at the doctor yesterday she is 7 weeks old, and the doctor said she has a heart murmur and needs to be refered to the paediatrician. Has anyones else had this happen and is it serious. I really worried and have to wait for an appointment.

My daughter will be 3 in March. She has been vaccinated, and there are only 5 bumps, with 2 of then with a white head. No fever, and seems to hav emore energy then ever!! I just can't beleive this, I noticed the bumps and it mabye crossed my mind, but I thought just a bug bite, cause she won't sleep with her pajamas on, just a pull up. I don't know why?!? So i thought she got bit in the night or something. Well her daycare suggested she had chicken pox and I take her to the Dr. (urgent care) and he said yes!! I started crying, I feel awful for having noticed the bumps and even questioning it and then taking her to daycare and now exposing all of whom havent had it yet!!!! How many of your children have had chicken pox with the vaccination, or could this be something else?

My bf stays home during the day and watches our daughter, as well as my son, from a previous relationship, and works at night. My son turned 3 in July and we have been working with him on potty training for quiet some time now. He will pee in the potty but is having trouble going #2 and sometimes has accidents in his pull up, at school and at home.

My bf thinks that since he is over 3 years old, that he should have mastered this by now, and shouldnt be having accidents. Well, last night, my son had a accident and my bf became very angry (he also had an accident earlier in the day at my bf's sisters and refused to give him a 'promised' candy bar) He grabbed my son by his shirt collar and started yelling in his face that 'he was old enough to poop in the potty and there was NO reason to have accidents'

I can understand being fustrated, as I feel the same way, but I have NEVER punished him for having a accident, and my bf thinks i'm too 'soft' on him. Am I soft? Or is he to harsh?

You know what I mean.......

I am about 24 wks pregnant. It just started yesterday, full force.

Did your start earlier than that? Later? Never?

I stubbed my toe...the worse I've ever done it.
I walked right into my husband and spilled his coffee all over the keyboard. I fell over while trying to open the blinds on the window. I spilled soup because I stupidly decided to put the bowl down sideways....

I just wanted to cry, but now I can giggle about it.

Is it normal for a 15 y/o girl to not have interest in doing her hair, make up, girl clothes? Looking neat and pretty?

I remember when I was that age, I did and so did all of my friends. Even the "jocks" did. Maybe not every day, but at least for special events and stuff.

To my knowlege there are no sexuality issues.

I am not saying this is bad, I just don't know what some of the reasons could be.

Has anyone else had experience with this? Any different reasons that could play a part?

Also if its not wrong when do you think I should go to the doctor. My baby is only 8 months old I have heard that it is also dangerous to have kids this close together. I know alot of questions all at one time but im a little crazy right now thanks for any help

I know a few parents who hardly buy their kids any toys. I know some people don't have too much money, but if you can't afford to buy your children what they ask for, why even bother having them?
My daughter gets something every time we go to the store, I always make sure I have about $50 to get her what she wants.
Why are some parents so stingy?
