if you feel that children with special needs deserve a safe calm enviroment to learn and develop in then please sign

some of the children cant be placed in mainstream schools as they become withdrawn and dont learn and are often left with no help these kind of schools are anasset to these children you dont have to be a parent every little helps and we need all the help we can get thanks

they are building a new schoo for these kids but there are limited places and no autism unit which they have at abbey hill so a lot of kids will be left out and without the time and support they need and deserve

thanks for all the suppot theres no harm in trying and were all trying really hard even the kids are getting involved because it means so much to them it just breaks my heart that this is going to be taken away from so many adorable children who are so pleasant and caring theve come to rely on eachother an i for one think they deserve the school to stay open

i went to sign it as my little boy with autisim goes to a special needs school so i know how great they can be, but your link does not work.
thats better, all signed, good luck with it.

patricia s, maybe in the usa that is how you do it but here in the uk that petition is as good as a hand signed petition that will go to our prime minister and it will not be contested just because it is an e-petition.

no disrespect but i think this just needs to be the parents i cant see where it will help getting strangers involved. the petition will get thrown out.

if this was a school in my sons district i would sign. but i cant sign for a school in an area where i dont live it seems wrong to me and disrespectful to my child

your petition proves the point i was trying to make you have to be a resident of the area to sign i cant sign as i live in the usa good luck saving the school

Hi ..and i don't like to put a downer on this for you ..but in the next so many years ALL special schools will be closing in the UK ..my son attends a special school and his is to close in 2009, they feel all special school will be more suited in the grounds of mainstream schools and this doesn't mean in the same class just grounds. its a new thing coming in within the next few years ..i protested ..got me nowhere !

Sorry, I'm not able to.
I find this petition a bit strange. Here in the U.S. a petition is generally only honored if signed in person and showing an address. This is necessary to validate each person's signature. With e-petitions anybody can put in anyone's name and as many as they want.
I'd be surprised if your petition were not contested.
Edit: Nevertheless, good luck!
