I am 17 years old. I have a job, I recently graduated beauty school and recieved my cosmetology license, I am currently a sophmore in college and my parents still wont let me stay home alone for one night. In less 8 months I will be an adult, I'm transferring to a university that is three hours away and apparently that is the first time I'll be able to be alone. Despite all of the absolute responsibility and control I have shown, I am still treated like a punk kid. My curfew is usually right around 11:30 and I usually show up around 15 minutes early. What can I do to convince my parents that I'm not a little kid anymore and I can be trusted

When I put her down or put her down to sleep (she has been fed and rocked and already is asleep) she wakes within 5 minutes. It's not just a fussy cry its a screaming cry and I just wont let a 5 day old baby do that. Is this a normal stage or is there something wrong or something that I am doing wrong? Understand though she does sleep and is content as long as I am holding her. This is very exhausting. Please Help!

My 13month old son is obsessed with eating bananas, like a lil monkey, lol. He is eating at least 3 whole bananas by himself a day and I am afraid to let him eat any more than that, which I am sure he would. Is there any danger in letting him eat bananas, like an overdose in potassium or anything that I need to be worried about?

Here's the thing....my baby's daddy disappeared almost 2 yrs ago. I met a great guy 1-1/2 yrs ago fell in love and married him. He wants to adopt my 3 yr old daughter. Sometimes he's a great daddy but other times i wonder if he even knows she's here? He likes to entertain at home almost every weekend when he is in. He works offshore. He fishes, dives, and hunts. I am beginning to realize he is kind of selfish. He is also a drinker. (mostly on weekends when friends are over) What i guess i am asking is how do i know if it is the right choice. What questions should i ask him to make sure he knows exactly what he is getting into and if he is ready for it. He wants a child of his own but i am not sure i want to do that. I am scared i will be stuck raising 2 kids by myself. Help!!!!! Any advice will be appreciated. Or questions i should ask him.

My boyfriend well I think, and I have been on and off 2 years and really it has been nothing more or less but argueing and drama with spurts of happpness..I am 5 months pregnant. He does not trust me at all! So when I went to check his e-mail he changed his password)he said he did cause we were fighting) and he wont let me read his emails when he normally would...he said he was asking personal questions on here about our relationship and I would be able to read them when he got some answers back. I am concernced theres a little more to it. before this he wanted to take a break so he could work out and feel better about himself,to better our sex life and so I am attracted to him more. but we would still keep in contact. This sounds not good. I am in a not so normal situation so please pray for me that the baby is at least okay.
do you think there is something else going on? any advice would help

I'm only 13, but there are so many things I want to learn. I want to learn how to paint, and how to make pottery, I also want to learn how to dance (ballet), and to play a musical instrument (I love piano!)... Problem is, my mother is a single parent and we can not only not afford lessons, she works nights and I have school and am also on Probation. What can I do? There are so many things I want to learn and explore, but I can't. =(

What can I do?

I'm 14 1/2 and haven't gotten my period yet. My mom got hers when she was 13. I'm not done growing yet, I'm 5'5'' and 105 pounds, and am only a 32AA. I'm supposed to be about 5'8'' and probably a B cup.

All this morning, my stomach hurt, which I think might be cramps. Also, I've been really tired and moody. Could this be my period coming?

My 7 month finally got her first tooth yesterday. She was cranky for about 3 days prior, had two dirty diaers a day for those 3 days (she usually has one), and yesterday we saw her first tooth on the bottom middle. It was sticking out and very cute! I felt it, and saw all day today- but tonight it was gone? The gums seem swollen - could the tooth have gone back down? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have been having unprotected sex with my partner. My last period was on 01/09/07 I started to get mild abdominal cramps, back pain & stomach popped. I noticed a real dark brown discharge like. The day after this happened I took a pregnancy test & it was negative. On 04/10/2007 I started to bleed, I'm not sure if this is an actual period. Is it too soon to test for pregnancy? please help I need answers.

...and she is in so much pain. She's understandibly being very clingy and she can't stop crying. I talked to her nurse about different pain meds, but she wasn't being very cooperative. I've been trying for hours to get my baby to calm down, because she needs to rest, but it seems like the more I try, the more panicky she gets. She keeps telling me that she wants me to hold her, but she can't move, so I've been holding her hand. That doesn't seem to help either. She's one of those girls that just needs to be close to somebody at times. It makes her feel safe. What should I do? I hate that she wants me to hold her and I can't. I can't seem to help her at all.

I have exclusively nursed my son since he was born. Recently, he stopped nursing as long and sometimes he refuses to nurse altogether... he will not take a bottle either! When I put him in the position to nurse he screams and will not be consoled until he is in an upright position. My milk supply is fine. Funny thing is that when we bring him to sit with us at the table he grabs for our food and forks whining all along like he knows he wants some... i have tried giving him hard boiled egg yolk moistened with breast milk. he doesn't want that either. I am worriied because he is losing weight now.. Please help

My best friends are planning on coming over sometime this month. In the past, i have had some pretty lame sleepovers and I want this one to be the best of the best and over the top without spending a lot of money. If you have some ideas of some things to do that are not things kids would do (because I'm almost 14), please let me know in detail! Thanks.

So, I'm writing an essay (only 2-3 pages) for my sociology class, and the topic is sexuality. Under the topic, I am given 2 questions that I am able to CHOOSE from that I would like to answer.

1. Eitzen and Baca Zinn (the authors) state "Variance from the social norm of heterosexuality is not a social problem; the societal response to it is." What do you think the authors mean by that statement? Do you agree or disagree? Explain your response.

OR

2. What is compulsory heterosexuality? What are some of the rights and privileges enjoyed by heterosexuals in U.S. society that are not extended to those who are not heterosexual? Is this similar to other forms of discrimination like that based on race or sex?

I would like to get some teenagers' opinions on which topic YOU would have more to say about, and what you think you would like to say.

Please don't be immature about your responses - if we're old enough to be surfing the net, you can be mature enough to give a mature response.

TY!
