say attacks her mother or begans to try and hurt herself and others, where do they usually go? do they usually go to a nuthouse for children? what if the mother can't control him/her?

i would start by talking to the doctor and see if he can recommend a psychiatrist and go from there.

There are adolescent psychiatric facilities that can help kids like this. There is no nuthouse, it's just activities, therapy, dr. visits, more therapy, activities. If Mom can't control the child, she should call 911 and ask about a nearby psychiatric facility for children, and have the police escort him there.
