I have been having unprotected sex with my partner. My last period was on 01/09/07 I started to get mild abdominal cramps, back pain & stomach popped. I noticed a real dark brown discharge like. The day after this happened I took a pregnancy test & it was negative. On 04/10/2007 I started to bleed, I'm not sure if this is an actual period. Is it too soon to test for pregnancy? please help I need answers.

Take another test. Get to a doctor. If you are pregnant, then you need medical care for yourself and child. If not pregnant, then you need to know why your period is so irregular or stopped. This might indicate your hormones are out of balance. This might indicate some other condition. Get to a doctor.

If the bleeding is unusually light, it could be implantation bleeding. I was just dealing with this issue myself a few days ago, and what I read was that if implantation has occurred, there's usually enough HCG in the blood to get a positive test within 3-5 days of the start of the spotting. So it wouldn't hurt to take a test, but if it's negative and a normal period doesn't show up, I would test again in a week or so.

Have you had your period since 4/10? If not then chances are you may be pregnant. I would guess that you would know by now if you are pregnant because months have gone by. I would get a test ASAP.

If you had a missed period, you can take a pregnancy test.
