i am 15. my mom abused me when i was 8-12 and CPS was called then. my dad was always the one who protected me.
now (WHEN I SEE HIM) he is always really angry and has no control of his temper. this time he left a really bad mark on my face.
and i know it is not right to say bad words (i hardly do) but my parents can have run on sentences of cuss words...

it wasn't an accident. he punched and hit me in the face 8 times. but i told him i did not respect him (first meaning before he beat me.) that made him mad. i don't want to tell anyone though. last time it just created more drama at home.

my grandparents are going to take me to the hospital and i will stay with them for who knows how long to those who asked. thanks for the help. Maggie- for someone who says theyve been physically abused you should know you put your arms up to protect yourself the best you can. YOU need to find another hobby.

Your additional details fit the description of child abuse. You should notify authorities. It is VERY likely that things will only get worse.
Child abuse has two conditions. One is that the child is physically injured. The other is that the child is emotionally injured in a way that does not encourage growth and direction. One way to abuse is through striking a child. Another type of abuse happens when a child is punished without deserving it. Child abuse is ALWAYS wrong and always illegal.
Physical discomfort alone is not child abuse. An injury must have happened as well. A black eye is definitely an injury. This would be a case of child abuse.
There is ONE extreme exception. A child can be injured in a case of self-defense. A child with a gun or knife might be an exception. A very large and strong child fighting a small and weak adult might be an exception. That is NOT a case of discipline OR correction. That is ONLY a case of self-defense where an adult's life is clearly in jeopardy.

You were abused. You should tell a grown up that you trust what happened. However, when you appear at school with a black eye - hopefully that will prompt a teacher or guidance counselor to take action on your behalf. Despite what you think about bringing more drama into the house... it is better to deal with fixing the situation now (which means involving outside sources).

Well battery is a crime and it sounds like that is what you are describing. But please remember "child abuse" covers a lot of ground including battery. Child abuse charges are generally not considered in isolation. The age of the child involved, the number of children in the home, family history, and a host of other variables will be considered. Most states still rely on the judgment of the case worker. Parenting classes, family consulting or other supports are often a more practical and effective course of action.
I just read your additional information. If you feel like you can not make the report yourself you can make sure that a mandated reporter sees or hears about your injury. Mandated reporters are people like teachers, doctors, nurses, child care providers, and ministers just to name a few. Whatever you do you should not expose yourself to further injury. Like I said before case workers can work "with" you and your family to make things better and safer for you.

As a former victim of child abuse, I'm going to go ahead and call BS on your story - and tell you that making something like that up is sick.
Abusers very rarely hit their victims in the face, or anywhere else where the bruise will be visible. And if you had punched by an adult man 8 times in the face, you would be in the hospital right now, with broken facial bones and your eyes swollen shut. You would NOT be sicking on your computer telling the world about it. Find another hobby.

Yes it is. I would consult a responsible adult or call for help if this is happening to you. spanking a child is okay.. but leaving bruises and hitting and punching.. thats out of the question. I dont even spank my children. I think thats wrong and thats only a little slap across the butt. Good luck.

sweety you are not at fault but you need to not talk to your parents wrongly you do not need to let them hit you either. you do need to go to someone you can trust tell them i mean an adult, it is child abuse any time a parent hits you, people that cant have kids would love to take care of you it sounds to me that your parents doesnt take advantage of the fact they do have a child that loves them. There is no excuse please take my advice and talk to someone let them help you dont deserve to be hit. good luck please reply back and let me know how things are.

Yes!
Your father should never leave a mark!
Spanking is bad but i'll accept it as long as there are no marks or lasting effects.
ie a smack in the bum is ok but a smack with a broken bottle is not.

Yes. What would he do to you if you said 2 bad words or even more? Make sure you take a photo of it for proof later on.
