I have been having some mild cramping throughout the day and I am currently 5 weeks 1 day preg. I really want to go in to the ER just to make sure everything is ok because I did have a miscarrage a few months ago. Should I go? And would they give me an ultra sound?

Cramping is quite normal the growing uterus causes at lot of crampy feelings. Do you have any bleeding?? If you have any bleed I would get it checked right away. but even then it still can mean everything is ok. If you are really worried maybe you could call your doctor. When you have had a MC It is normal to be worried when you become pregnant again. Having had a MC doesn't mean you have a higher risk of having another one. Unless they found a medical reason that showed you are likely to misscarry. Many woman have a MC more than 33% of pregnancy are lost often even before the woman know she is pregnant. 80% will go on to have a baby. Most early MC are due to the baby not being 'right'. Your Dr can order a blood test to check your HCG levels this is a good idicator of the health of the pregnancy. Try to relax. Good luck

personally i would go...just to put yur mind at ease and make sure everything is ok. I have a 15 month old and I am currently 17 weeks pregnant before this baby I miscarried at five weeks well when I got pregnant with this baby early on in the pregnancy I was asleep and started cramping so bad that it woke me up and I started to cry beacuse I thought I was going to loose this baby also but it turned out everything was fine. I hope that gives you a little hope. Good luck and congradulations!

It's really hard to even see the baby's heart at this age or hear it for that matter. And if you are miscarrying, there's nothing in the world they can do for you.

Mild cramping isn't necessarily a sign of miscarriage. You may be okay anyway. You could call the dr. on call and maybe he'd be able to answer some of your questions and make you feel more comfortable.

At around 10 weeks I had really bad cramping. Well, it wasn't really cramps, it felt more like someone grabbed my insides and they were squeezing it as hard as they could. I went into the ER, told them about it. They took some of my blood and then did a ultrasound too, just to see if it might be an ectopic birth. If you're really worried, you should go get it checked out, it's better to be safe then sorry.

If you are at all worried about your baby or yourself dont even think twice go and see a doctor, if there is nothing wrong they will send you home and it will put your mind at ease.
