A little background - Cherryxxxxxx blasted me 2 months ago because I answered another question stating that I believe a 13 year old girl is not mature enough to handle pregnancy and caring for a newborn baby.

Does anybody really believe a 13 year old girl is mature enough to handle pregnancy and then care for a baby? Keep in mind this 13 year old is growing physically and mentally, herself.

After thinking about how I responded, I believe I would still respond the way I previously did; a 13 year old girl is NOT MATURE ENOUGH to handle pregnancy and a newborn baby.

Well-thought answers would be appreciated.

Hello. I am currently 37 weeks along with my pregnancy. I have what is called Larsen Syndrome, which is a genetic defect that affects the joints in the body. It has a number of other side affects, but I was lucky enough for it to only affect my hips, my right knee, and cause clubfoot (which have all been corrected enough for function).

Does anyone have any experience with this, something similar, or even ever heard of this????

Expert/medical advice would be greatly appreciated.

And just so you know, yes, my doctor is aware of this... LOL.

Hey just wondering what the gereral opinion on these names are. We have had them set since i was around 3mths preggers and i was due 2 days ago. we decided not to find out the sex so i have one name for each sex.

BOY: Quinten John - Quin for short

GIRL: Charlotte Pheobe - Charlie for short

i have a name that gets shortened into a boys name with mates and if we have a girl we wanted her to have the some option. eg i'm jacqueline and i prefer to be called jac or jacqui

I just don't get it. Unless a mother is returning to work, then why would you pump your milk, other than the occasional night out or whatever?

It seems that so many moms are pumping and asking questions about "Am I making enough milk?"...

I've never had a problem not knowing that my children are eating X ounces, so why is it so important for others? What am I missing here?

I have a 5 year old son, and I've always been very flexible on what types of movies and video games he plays. I've always been more concerned with limiting the time to video games and movies, not so much the content. He's watched band of brothers with me, and likes it alot. He also likes to play violent video games like Halo and Saints Row. I know the concept of letting my son shoot cops on a video game is repulsive to some, but I've always tried to catch him off guard with questions considering the difference between reality and movies/games and he almost reacts like I'm stupid for asking, of course he knows the difference. He has a good sense or morality to him, and even asks very inquisitive questions like "Why are they fighting each other, why are the Germans the bad guys, etc." It actually invokes a lot of thoughtful questions from him, yet he never expresses any violent sentiments at all (except maybe while playing a game). Any thoughts?

Ive been pumping my milk and feeding it to him by bottle and ive made enough to feed him like that
but yesterday i figure id try and breastfeed again because he was on my chest and moving around like he was looking for my nipple
and all day i have been breastfeeding him
but he still seems hungry and i am giving him a bottle because he wont stop crying and keeps opening his mouth and moving when i put my finger by his mouth. Ive fed him three times in the last hour, it seems like hes not getting full. Why could this be. I have plenty of milk because i pump a lot of milk out. I also pumped twice today so im thinking maybe i dont have enough milk in there afer, but i usually have more after two hours, so i should have had enough to feed him.

My breastfed baby is backed up. She is frantic, now that it's night and the doctor's office closed. That seems to be how it works with young ones, they aren't "sick" until "after-hours". Anyway, of course I know, breastfed babies can go days without a bowel movement. But, what can I do to help her through the pain she's in? And of course, I'll be calling her DR. tomorrow morning when his office is open. Please experienced parents of breastfed babies. Thank you in advance. :)

Lmp on 8/25/07. Concieved around 9/4/07 & 9/9/07. Positive hpt on 9/22, went to doctors to confirm, bloodtest said I had an hcg level of 29, 2 days later a level of 26, 2 days later a level of 92, going back again today to retest. I have pregnancy symptoms, mild breast tenderness, mild cramping, some queseyness, very tired, mood swings, missed period, increased appatiet. My general doctor keeps throwing the word miscarriage at me and doesnt sound too optimistic and wont tell me that i have a viable pregnancy. I am very confused as to what is going on. I have had no bleeding or severe pain. I want this baby really bad. Does it sound to you like i have a viable pregnancy? This is my first pregnancy with no past history of miscarrage or etopic. Thank you.

This is my second pregnancy. The first pregnancy ended in a very early miscarriage. I just consider this my second pregnancy. If you're pregnant with twins, how long does it take for a belly pooch to form if you've already had a little fat on you.

If your breastfeeding and decide to go out or leave your child with someone while you work part-time. Do you think its ok to give the child formula until you get home to breastfeed, for somereason when pumping you dont get enough out.

How do we know for sure that baby boys don't feel the pain of circumcision? If we're not 100% sure (and only a baby can tell us this), wouldn't it make sense to err on the side of caution and give the baby a local? He wouldn't be drugged down with a general anesthetic, so important to be careful of with babies.

Wouldn't it be better to use a local rather than nothing?
