In general, I don't care for the name Zak - any spelling or any form, but I do like "boy's" names for girls... always have! I got crucified on here for liking the name Garrett for a girl. I have a name that's commonly known more for a boy, and I didn't get any crap at school, nor am I a "tomboy". A name doesn't make your personality. One of the most unfeminine girls I've ever known in my life was named Daphne.... that's a "girly" name....

I like the name Zak for a girl about as much as I like the name Ginger for a boy.

As the name on her birth certificate? No.

As a nickname? Sure. Her full name could be Zara Katharine - a sophisticated choice with a spunky, unexpected nickname.

Truthfully, I wouldn't go near it with a ten foot pole. I'm thinking teased at school, mistaken for a boy by everyone, who won't spell it correctly anyway and a really hard time as an adult.
Of course, my opinion is just that...my opinion.

I like it about as well as Yuk for her name. She's a girl, identify her as one for her sake. The playground can be a cruel place, don't set her up for more crap than she has to take.

It sounds a little ugly but it is original and not hard to spell. Maybe if you added feminity to it It might be better. Like Zaek or Zaka or Zake or Zae or Zaekla

Great if you want everyone to think she's a boy and make fun of her all her life.
