I was a bed wetter up until my early teen years and my 5 yr old son wets the bed almost every night. I wore diapers for the bed wetting until I stopped and I have my son in diapers for the bed wetting. So many people make a big deal of it but its actually very common and there are more kids that wear diapers than you realize. The way I see it is I wore diapers, and my friends didnt care (and they kept it to them selves) nor did I and my son is in diapers and still has friends over occasionally and they know about his diapers plus one of his friends that spends the night is in a pull up diaper. Its not a big deal. Different types of diaper products are made for this so thats what we do.

I am 21 and stopped wetting the bed this past year. If they continue to do it when they get into being 10 and up see a doctor. I finally got a medicane and now I am dry every night. Also if your kid is old enough ask if he ever feels like he needs to pee and moniter how many times a day he does. For me I never feel the need to pee and it is linked to me wetting my bed. Not drinking an hour before bed and going to the bathroom the minute before he goes to sleep helps. Good luck!

My son didn't really wet the bed, he had accidents, but very few. I found that not letting them drink 15 mins before going to bed is helpful. My daughter never wet the bed. If you are worried about the mattress, they have a plastic liner. If they are older, they might have a medical reason for why they still do it... *shrug* best of luck

My son all of a sudden started wetting the bed in the 5th grade and it lasted about a year. I told him not to worry, that it would stop. He would wake up crying every morning that this happened. I felt so bad for him. Doc said there was nothing physically wrong with him. Then it stopped just as soon as it started. You have to have patience and understanding..and never tell anyone who will make fun of them.

My twins never really wet the bed. They were daytime toilet-trained at 3.25 years old and a couple weeks later I took the diapers off at night (because they were always dry in the a.m.) and they were fine. Maybe 2 or 3 out-of-the-blue accidents, but that's it.

I have a 10 year old and 6 year old twins (all boys). They all still wet the bed. They just wear Goodnites, its not a big deal, really.

My 5 year old son still doesn't stay dry at night but my 4 year girl has for about 6 months now. My doctor told me it is heriditary and my husband had problems with it so we are just biding our time to see if it clears itself up before we jump into medicating our child.

My children never wet the bed. They wore diapers, then when potty-trained, got up in the night and used the bathroom.
