Lmp on 8/25/07. Concieved around 9/4/07 & 9/9/07. Positive hpt on 9/22, went to doctors to confirm, bloodtest said I had an hcg level of 29, 2 days later a level of 26, 2 days later a level of 92, going back again today to retest. I have pregnancy symptoms, mild breast tenderness, mild cramping, some queseyness, very tired, mood swings, missed period, increased appatiet. My general doctor keeps throwing the word miscarriage at me and doesnt sound too optimistic and wont tell me that i have a viable pregnancy. I am very confused as to what is going on. I have had no bleeding or severe pain. I want this baby really bad. Does it sound to you like i have a viable pregnancy? This is my first pregnancy with no past history of miscarrage or etopic. Thank you.

It's hard to say. HCG levels at 3 or 4 weeks can fluctuate greatly. Non-pregnant women have hcg levels of 55 - 200, and women at 4 weeks LMP have hcg levels of 5-426...
This is why your doctor is unwilling to say you have a viable pregnancy at this point. I know it is hard, but be patient...It is important not to stress, as anxiety can cause problems during pregnancy. If I were you, I'd live as though I knew I was pregnant, eat and drink healthy, take pre-natal vitamins, and get lots of rest. You'll know for certain before too long.

I had this same problem. Ideally, your hormone level should double or triple every three days and if it does not, then this is usually a sign of some kind of pregnancy dysfunction. Unfortunately for me, when I went to confirm my pregnancy, it could not be picked up on ultrasound. I had right side pain and the doctors were convinced I had an ectopic pregnancy, but about two weeks after my first ultrasound, I started bleeding and a couple days later...miscarried. Just the same as you, I had all the pregnancy symptoms to go with it. A few days before I miscarried, I lost all symptoms of being pregnant.
I wish I could be more optimistic about this, but I cant given what I have experienced. As long as your hormone levels continue to increase, consider yourself as having a viable pregnancy. If your hormones start to drop....then you know what is iminent. If that is the case, then it is best to go ahead and have surgery....trust me on this one. A miscarriage is very painful.
I hope that you can carry to term and have the baby you want...I really do. Most people who do not want children have a lot of children and those who do want them cant have them. Good luck and hope all goes well. You may want to research the hormone aspect of pregnancy while you are online. This may give you some insight as to what is going on. Good luck.

To me it sounds like you have a viable pregnancy, with the hcg level going to 92, and with the symptoms you are having sounds a lot like you would be regnant. Also sometimes when you want to be pregnant you can trick you body into being pregnant and give yourself symptoms of it. Also there could be other reasons for a missed period like your thyroid, stress, things like that. I went through a situation like this as well, so I know it can be hard. Hang in there and see what they say tomorrow, I hope that everything works out in your favor! GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm very sorry to listen to approximately your difficulty. No, the mind does now not inform the toddlers middle to overcome at this level. It's finding out how, however your frame is doing a number of the paintings correct now. At sixteen weeks, I'm guessing whatever used to be occurring to rationale all of those exams, due to the fact they are customarily now not run till so much later within the being pregnant. In this example, to not sound harsh, however it sounds find it irresistible's a well factor they have stuck it early. It's completely as much as you as to what you wish to do now. Most pregnancies with main defects equivalent to what you could have defined become in a miscarriage. You can wait & see if that occurs, or have your Dr agenda you for both an induction, or a D & C. (At sixteen weeks, they might nonetheless do a D & C in so much states.) After you could have recovered, until there's a genetic rationale that this occurred, you will have to be capable to conceive once more & convey the following one absolutely to time period. I wish this is helping a bit of, and once more, sorry to listen to approximately your difficulty.

Im really confused too, sorry you are going through this.I think you should just go to Planned Parenthood they are very helpful there. It seems like your regular Dr isnt very helpful, you could get a new one.Your symptoms definitely sound like a pregnancy,if you miscarried you would know it,I would not worry about that. You need someone to help you.Hopefully when you go back your Dr will give you answers, if not you know what to do..Lots of luck to you:)

Positive pregnancy test + missed period + symptoms of pregnancy = pregnancy
If you haven't actually had a scan or negative pregnancy test, then consider yourself still pregnant.
Why stress out with this doctor? Doesn't sound very helpful. Get another one, at least for your pregnancy.

Your HCGs are supposed to double every 48 hours. Unless you are bleeding, I would rule out a miscarriage. Unfortunatly, it sounds like it may be ectopic.. by 6 weeks your hcgs should be at the least 1000... good luck I will have you in my prayers...

Because your levels did jump up to 92 that is a good sign....they watch your levels to make sure they double every 2-3 days...what they want to watch for is to make sure there not dropping at all.....as for right now, yes I would definatly consider yourself pregnant....my advice, is relax...and wait for your next test to see the results.

Consider yourself pregnant unless the doctor tells you, you had a miscarriage. If I were you I would think about getting another doctor.
