I have twin girls 10 and a half months old, their father has seen them only 3 times. He lives in Central Missouri and refuses to come up here (Des Moines, IA area) to see them, he wants me to come down there or meet halfway, but he will not come to his daughters home to see them. But now all the sudden he wants them every other weekend, and every other holiday, no help with day care, and hasn't paid support in almost 4 months. What are my rights, I am desparate, My daughters are worth more to me than a check every month, and all they are to him is a tax write off, and a second chance for his girlfriend (who is also his ex wife, and can no longer have kids). Please what can I do?

At my 20 week ultrasound the baby had the cord between its legs and the doctor said she would say boy if she had to guess but she was not sure.Anyone had a situation like this and the "i think it might be a penis" turned out to be the cord? I have never had an ultrasound with any of my kids where they acted so unsure.

If you had a 19 year old daughter, would it bother you if she left home to live with a 30 year old?

Just curious....

My Son is 3 and a half and already 34", he towers his peers in school. He is obviously not bothered by it but I do worry how he will find it as he gets older. My husband was 6" 1 at the age of 11!!

So I just started feeding my baby cereal... which i know is supposed to help the baby eat less. But I feed him cereal twice a day... once in the morning and once before he goes to bed. But he still wants to eat every 2 hours, 8 oz. each feeding. I know he's hungry, not a diaper change or just wanting something to suck on. He makes it very clear when he's hungry and when it's something else. He was born big (9lbs. 11oz.) and he now weighs 13lbs 12oz. and he's always had a big appetite but still eating every 2 hrs after cereal seems like alot.

I live in ohio and my child lives in iowa, I dont see her very much and I pay over 400.00 in child support every month. This is making it difficult for my family to live happy when we can barely make ends meet as it is.

I am 17 and pregnant. I am due Septemeber 28th. I am very uncomfertable now-a-days and my doctor said the baby is ready to come at any second. I want to have this child now. i'm done being pregnant.. I am giving this child up for adoption. but, anyways, I have a doctors apt the 21st of sept. so I guess that's tomorrow. Can I just ask them if there is anything to enduce labor, or can I just ask them to take it out? I tried walking, running, stairs, and sex.. all it does is cause pain and lots of wetness.. but no labor!! any ideas.. please don't say ask a doctor . i want to ask on here before running to the doctor. so I dont sound stupid asking them to take this kid out!

Is it a good way, when a child is being very loud at the sore or yelling for not getting what he/she want´s to calmly put hand over his/her mouth and keep on walking? I remember once young woman told me she used this method to a child who was not her own when she begun to yell in public place for some matter. This girl was allready known for her bad behaviour and being spoiled. Do you think that woman did the right thing? I myself remember when I was a child my grandmother put her hand over my mouth when I begun to scream at the table disturbing others present.

My hubby and I are going to this naturally again. Well, again for me, first time for him. But my daughter had come so fast that I really didn't have a chance to practice any sort of "technique". So this time, I am going "no drugs" again and was looking for some good research materials regarding the Bradley Method. I have a massage therapist ready to be in the delivery room with me and my hubby is totally prepared to be my backbone.. Hehehe. Any ideas? Something that speaks to the father to be as well preferrably. Thanks for any answers!

I need a good book that's pretty much like going to a childbirthing class. My husband will be here only a few weeks before delivery and it's not enough time for us to go to a class. Any suggestions?

I am a stay at home mother of a 15 month old. I use a childcare center 2 days a week and find that my daughter gets a lot out of this. She is very well adjusted, happy and social. These 2 days also give me time to grocery shop, clean our home (which is pretty large) and to have some "me" time.
I am curious to see what others think of this arrangement. My husband thinks it's great but I have a few other family members that don't understand why I use a daycare when I don't have an "outside, 9-5 job.

I would appreciate a variety of answers and if you think this is wrong, please tell me why you think so and be specific.

Most thorough answer=10 pts. thanks

ok... i need some opinions and please vote on only one number. we have decided on the name Keon (it's a boy) but we are still trying to decide on the finale. number 1 - Keon Leivye (pronounced Levi). number 2 - Keon Lei as a first name. if you pick number two, please pick a spelling (a-d) and also suggest a middle name if you have one that would go good with Keon Lei as a first name. number 3 - Keon Lei as the first and middle name. the last name begins with an M. and Keon means "God is Gracious." Thanks to all who votes :) and please don't suggest a different first name. I'm looking for variations or middle name suggestions. Keon's it. Thanks!!!!

- By the way he's coming any day now ;)

1. Keon Leivye (Levi)

2. (a) Keon-Lei ______
(b) Keon-Lee ______
(c) Keon Lei ______
(d) Keon Lee ______

3. (a) Keon Lei
(b) Keon Lee

the nurse told me that i would have more ultrasounds to monitor the baby's weight since she is more likely to be larger since i have GD. i had my checkup yesterday (i'll be 34 weeks saturday) and she said i should have one soon like next week. well right before i was leaving she asked the dr when did he want her to schedule one & he said 38 weeks. i am now going to the dr every week so they can do blood work & monitor my sugar. should i ask again about an ultrasound next wednesday when i go or just wait it out til 38 weeks. i don't want to have a huge baby & at my 20 wk u/s the tech didn't tell me the baby's weight & it wasn't on the report. i've gained 28lbs so far. should i be concerned?

What causes this? I have been much more active in the past few days....we are moving from one house to the other.

Should I worry? I had preeclampsia with my last pregnancy. The swelling goes down after about 2 hours after waking up.
