ok... i need some opinions and please vote on only one number. we have decided on the name Keon (it's a boy) but we are still trying to decide on the finale. number 1 - Keon Leivye (pronounced Levi). number 2 - Keon Lei as a first name. if you pick number two, please pick a spelling (a-d) and also suggest a middle name if you have one that would go good with Keon Lei as a first name. number 3 - Keon Lei as the first and middle name. the last name begins with an M. and Keon means "God is Gracious." Thanks to all who votes :) and please don't suggest a different first name. I'm looking for variations or middle name suggestions. Keon's it. Thanks!!!!

- By the way he's coming any day now ;)

1. Keon Leivye (Levi)

2. (a) Keon-Lei ______
(b) Keon-Lee ______
(c) Keon Lei ______
(d) Keon Lee ______

3. (a) Keon Lei
(b) Keon Lee

3b Keon Lee

I would have chosen #1, but you changed the spelling of Levi.

Congrats and best wishes to you and baby Keon!

Did you possibly mean Keoni? JOHN means "God is gracious," and this would be the Hawaiian form, but simply Keon is not. That actually looks like a misspelling/mispronunciation of Cian, a separate Gaelic name with a completely different meaning. Just wondering, since you mentioned the meaning so I'm assuming it's important to you.

As to the middle names, I prefer Levi in general, especially since I'm assuming from the other options listed that you want Lei said "Lee," and I'm simply not into that (it's the middle name of several family members, all of whom dislike it LOL). That said, Lei will not be said Lee -- or "Leivye," Levi -- by anyone familiar with 3rd grade grammar rules. At best, it could be pronounced LAY (as indicated by the feminine names Leia and Leila) or LIE (as in the ending of Lorelei). Likewise, the -ye is either "yeh" or "yuh" (to anyone familiar with Celtic names) or "yee," like the word of the same spelling. So you've basically "created" LAYV-yuh, LAYV-yee, LIEV-yuh (the one I would have naturally assumed) or LIEV-yee. What in the heck is wrong with Levi? ROFL

Just some things to consider. This isn't a funny name for a pet or character in a story, after all. It's a child -- something that should be taken fairly seriously.

Just (3-b) Keon Lee. The first name is really unique, so it needs a more common / simple middle name to balance it out.

Keon Lei is my favorite. Don't hyphenate the two names it looks a little feminine like that.
