Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 September 2007

I am 11.5 weeks pregnant & I notice when I stretch, my stomach is a little sore. Like the muscles. It isn't painful & no bleeding, just tender. Is that normal? I know it may be just from your uterus & muscles stretching as the baby grows, but was just curious. Thanks.

About 2 weeks ago i started my 1 year old on the Enfamil Next Step formula. It seems that ever since, he has had the runs. Some diapers are a little thick and the others are runny. I have been giving him a little bit of pedialite incase of dehydration. He is teething really bad, getting his molars and a nurse told me he probably is having runny diapers because of all the saliva he's swollowing from teething. He's had a fever today, highest was 101.5. It has since broke and is down to 99. Just wondering if the formula could have something to do with the runny diapers. He's getting rashes really bad also and i put lots of medicine but sometimes it doens't help. So i guess my question is can the formula have something to do with this? Thanks in advance!!

I had a normal ultrasound at 8 weeks (everything was fine and I saw my heart beating). Today, I am 11 weeks pregnant and I don't plan on getting another ultra sound until 20 weeks. Lately, I've been worried that my baby is not alive, but I can't help the feeling. I've been spotting on and off (very light flow brown)since my last pap smear at 8 weeks. I take my prenatal vitamins everyday, but I take tylenol when my back pain is very very bad. I took 4 sudafed tablets for my allergies a week ago (I took 2 one day and 2 the next day). I asked my Dr. if i can continue to take them, and she said not until 12 weeks, but I can take Zyrtec or Benedryl before 12 weeks. I havent taken any pills because I think already harmed my baby. Can my baby die in my womb based off my particular story? Other than my high blood pressure I am totally healthy. HOW DO I KNOW IF MY BABY IS STILL ALIVE AND GROWING NORMALY?? I still have sore nipples, nausea sometimes HELP please.

It sounds a little weird but my baby used to have many wet diapers. 2 days ago I started to give her cereal in her forumla and Gerber once a day. Now I notice less wet diapers. Is that normal?

My period is 5 days late and Im always on time, I started to get cramping today but no period yet and also i never get cramping with my periods. Ive taken two pregnancy tests and both are negative. I start to feel sick when i have something to eat for the first time for the day. and im also not stressed about anything (even this) and i havent change any of my rutiens.
could i be pregnant? is there something else wrong?

We aren't considering having another child for at least a year, but I am worried that her tendency to go pee as soon as we are done having sex will kill any chances of that happening.

i had sex with my husband on May 6 and May 9, then i had sex with another man on May 13. my last menstrual period started on April 22 and my due date has been consistently January 27th with ultrasounds. my cycles are 28 days, what are the chances that the baby is this other mans and not my husbands???

My son goes to a county licensed in home daycare provider he has been going there for over a year now. Lately I been a little concerned about her care of him however he seemed very happy there ect. Well on Friday I went to pick him up and the lady was waiting outside. She was like I have something bad to tell you we were playing a game trying to get one of the other kids 2 eat. hitting kids on the backside with spoons. She claims it was a game and she didn't realize how heavy handed she is and didn't mean to hurt my son. But he got 3-5 bruises on his backside from this apparent "GAME" what would you do? My mom, and 2 of my aunts, & brother is very upset about it and wants him out, my dad is like well she told you so just take him back Monday like nothing happened.

My boyfriend and I just found out we are having a little girl. Before we knew the sex we made a deal that I would pick the boy name and he would pick the girl name (only because I had the boy named picked since before I met him). He has now picked a name that I truthfully HATE. Since this is my FIRST child and his second, and the fact that I am carrying the baby, dont you think I should have some say. Im not saying that he can't pick the name he just needs to pick something I dont absolutely hate. I know its going against "the deal" we made, but I feel like I should have some kind of say it my child too.

I am 36, live in an apartment, have a good job and am single. I have no other children. I know it is now harder to adopt a chinese baby as a single person. How hard it is in the states? I am not catholic and heard about Catholic Charities and wondered if they allow a non-catholic to adopt.

I would take an older child and know that might make this easier.

Ok so a couple days ago I posted that my daughter had cradle cap and needed help with it. I have used the baby oil on her hair twice now and it is almost gone well it isnt as bad as it was. If I do this one more time is there a possibility that it could be gone or could it get worse if I am still using the baby oil?

We have a 6 day old baby girl, breastfed and has real problems bringing up wind!
Ive noticed while burping her that she sort of brings up something then gulps it back down in her throat and this seems to make her worse!
Our 2 yr old son had reflux bad but he couldn't keep it down he just threw it up...
So could this be a reflux problem too ?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

In August I had a full period. A short time after that, me and my husband had unprotected sex. We also had unprotected sex when I was ovulating (according to my nurse). It is to soon to tell if I pregnant. But I stay hungry and I'm really worn out (tired). I also have this motion sickness feeling. I went to the bathroom yesterday and when I wiped I saw a little blood (brownish color). What does this mean?? Am I pregnant??? Please help me, I'm a newlywed and don't know what to do. Thanks.

my phone sux like its stupid and keeps breaking. prolly cause i keep dropping it and stuff but not puposely. so like now it keeps shutting off like when im trying to text someone or like when im just opening the phone it shuts off and restarts. its really annoying. i told my mom and she wont get me a new one. its so not fair. i need a new one. i tried like every excuse,i have a lot, and she still wont get me one. wat can i do now.

My husband and I have a 3 year old son. We are good parents who have specific, thoroughly - researched guidelines for how we want him to be raised. Certain members of his family, however (especially his wonderful sister), offer us unwanted "advice" constantly. It's not really advice, so much as it's constant judging and criticism of EVERYTHING - how we dress him and cut his hair, what we feed (and don't feed) him, how we want to educate him, discipline, safety precautions, etc. We are GOOD parents who wouldn't do anything we didn't think was right for our son, but we are still judged on most of the things we do. Here's the thing - while she's worked with kids for a few years, she has none of her own. Hubby blew up at her tonight, which really caused some family tension. I didn't want to get involved, but I agree with Hubby. It's disheartening to get this constant criticism. I want to be the peacemaker, but explain to her how we feel so she'll understand. Any suggestions?
