Actually, that's not a question. That's the truth. I see lots of women on here saying things like, "I'm 35 and having trouble getting pregnant." It pains me to read because I want to answer, "You should have started 15 years ago!"

Of course, I would never say that; I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad. I feel bad for these poor women, because I know it's not their fault. Our society went from one where kids got married right of high school, and started having kids, to one in which we wait until 30 to get married and 40 to try to have kids.

It boggles my mind. As an intelligent woman I know women want to go to college, have careers, meet a nice man, get married, spend some time together, then have kids. But, as a Biologist, I know us girls are supposed to be having babies in our late teens/ early 20's. Truly, there wouldn't be this many women with fertility problems if they started trying to have kids earlier.

::sigh:: I have no solution. Anyone else?

She wants one because all her friends have one. She just got an email account & loves connecting with her friends on email, but all the kids are talking about myspace. I think she's too young, so we aren't going to let her. I'm looking for alternate, age appropriate sites that she would be able to safely connect with her friends on.

I selected Elizabeth as a first name and now I need a middle name to go along with it. Since Elizabeth is traditional I think that I would prefer something "different" or unique, but I am open for anything

Wh most woman do not know this I do not know. It should be taught in health. I have 6 kids and can tell you it is not the length of your period but when you ovulate is when you get pregnant. During each cycle you have a white discharge ( this is the temporary cap coming off your tubes) then this discharge turns to clear. That is when you are ripe. This discharge helps guide the sperm to the egg. It is only a 24 hour period during the month that you can concieve. If you have sex during these times you will get pregnant .If you don't notice this then it could be happening during your period and the blood masks the discharge so you will not see it. however you are still fertile. I hope this helps woman out there trying to concieve and this isn't really a question but feel free to comment.

He's with the united pentecostal church and totally messed up. he's not allowed on the computer, and can't watch tv (not even the ones at Wal*Mart). his mom homeschools him and he's so behind that he's 16 and just finished the eighth grade.his dad is a meth addict and his mom is super into their church (personally i think it's a cult. their pastor creeps me out). he can't do anything. his only friends are at church. and i'm scared for him. i'm afraid that since he's not allowed to do anything, he's going to go balisitc and over do everything that he wasn't allowed to do before once he moves out. one of the kids that shot up everyone at Columbine had a background similiar to this. not to mention his dad is so out of it, he doesn't provide for his family, and they just lost their house.last i heard they lived in a trailer that wasn't even theirs. they live in arkansas and we live in florida. and they won't come down here because my aunt won't leave her pastor. what can i do? i'm 16 too.

I'm in my 39th week of pregnancy, at my last doctor's appointment he told me I wasn't even dialated yet. I've been having some really sharp pains in my vaginal area, which my sister says might be my cervix dialating, but I won't know till my next dr. appointment on Thursday. I'm so miserable and want this baby to come soon! We live in WV where it's been pretty hot lately and I sweat like a disgusting pig by just walking outside. I can't handle the pains anymore!

My father-in-law believes in the "full moon" idea and my mother-in-law says it'll happen when the barometric pressure drops. Does anyone know anything about these???

I know there's a full moon tonight, but have no clue about barometric pressure! PLEASE help me!

I'm , in college, fortunately doing great in my life. I live alone, though my parents live close to me. Unfortunately our relationship has been extremely painful since I was 14. I made mistakes, was immature, realy messed up, was mean to my lil bro, was jealous, a very difficult phase. They were too harsh, couldn't understand I was just a troubled girl. I got a harsh punishment though I sincerely regretted and for months they made me suffer alot cause they didn't trust me, though I had got over that phase completely. I went through terrible days , wanted trust, forgiveness and didn't get it. They didn't act like parents who love, but just like law. The finally forgave and trusted me but I was so shocked that ended up living w/ my grandma, at 15. She was great, gave me love and trust. She passed away, but gave me an apartment and some money, so I can live on my own. My parents want to restablish our relationship, but why? When I needed them they were crue.

I must admit I'm on the fence with this one. But someone started the debate at dinner that the inability to conceive for men and women is nature's way of ensuring that the weak do not continue their heritage lines, so natures way of continuing the survival of the fittest.

I brought up the question of surely we shouldn't treat cancers or other diseases in that case, but the point came across that many diseases were caused by humans whereas creating another human life was very much left to nature.

Whats you view?

This is to all married (or not) women out there. I have two children and my husband's sister has two children also. My mother-in-law is CONSTANTLY critisizing, and my sister-in-law also, every little thing I do, because I don't do it the way they do it. These two are the most negative people I have ever met. My mother-in-law thinks that her daughter is the BEST, and somethimes compares me to her saying, well "she" does it this way.............My father-in-law never comes over to see my kids...who live 10 minutes away, but he'll drive 45 minutes to see his daughters kids. I am so tired of being treated like an outsider. I have been in this family for almost 20 years and I have always taken the crap to keep the peace for my husbands sake. Should I cut them out of our life and speak up for myself???? Should my kids have to pay the price? talking to them about it will only create hard feelings. My mother in law likes to criticize, but if it's done to her, she gets pissy. Need some advice.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. He's my husband and my first baby. We're very excited. Sometimes I just look at my sonogram in awe. I cant believe he's really in there. I've bonded with him already. I feel like his movements are his way of communicating with me. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and watch him grow and learn. I don't think my feelings are abnormal but i was just wondering if there are any one else out there experiencing the same thing.

My 16yr old was a nice kid. I'd sit w him late at night doing HW until I put him in private school for kids w learning disabilities. He was doing well until 8th grade were he just started bieng a total delinquent:he lies, steals, cusses his 2 younger sibs & more.Things get worse annually & he is in a school for kids w social problems (mostly autism). I have increased his thearapy time but he still throws vilolent screaming, crying tantrums (he is 6'2). He runs away when I try to ground him. I stopped spanking him around 14 years when he called the police on me. I'm scarred he is going to hurt his10 year old sis cause he says he wishes she were dead. He says I treat her and my middle son(13) like they are better and smarter. I so love my 1st born, but I dislike him. I now it's sounds crazy but my house is peacful until he wakes or comes home from school. He is spiteful, winy, never listens & talks non stop. The siblings & hubby r traumatized by the daily fights. I feel like running away!

We're getting closer!! The c-section date is set for next Thursday (Sept. 6) and we are getting excited!

During my first pregnancy, I was in labor for 24 hours and had an emergency c-section. Obviously I know what the epidural will feel like, but everything else (not being rushed) will be new.

Any advice?

I'm getting my hair cut this weekend for the big day; I want to look good in the pictures! My mom is coming down on Wednesday to stay with our son as my husband and I head to the hospital at 5:30 AM.

But...any advice? Could I bring a book? Get a pedicure? What?

Like I said--we're gettin excited, but I am getting very anxious. I want my body back!! :-)

I was driving down my street on my way home, there were two kids outside riding their bikes on the sidewalk one was around 6 the other around 8 since the smaller child was going slower the kid decide to off into the street not even looking as I was driving down, luckily for me I was going slow because you know children don't look I just thought that he would be going off into the street to pass the kid, but no he decides to do a complete u turn all the way through the street, that kid is lucky that I was paying attention otherwise he would have been hit!
