One of them is too young to read. Has anyone got ideas about how to give my kids personal info so they can contact me if they are lost or find their way back to me?

I have to pull my k-5 son out of school for a few days because his uncle has passed. I called the school and they said its excused but will count towards his allowable 5 days per semester that he's allowed to miss. That means he will likely only have 2 days left to be ill ect... between now and jan. Is this a normal practice??

When I am around other 8 yr old girls they seem so much more older than her. She is very hyper and can't sit still for more than 5 minutes and it's driving me crazy! She is falling behind in school now and I can't get her to do homework. I know it sounds like she has adhd but I don't want to put her on medicine without trying to cure this naturally first. Any suggestions on how to get her to stop acting like a 5 year old and buckle down ( I tried time outs and taking things away from her, it didn't work).

Right now im a pre natal vitamine that has a stool softner in it but it doesnt seem to work ive only been having a bowl movement about every 2 -3 days.... which i dont think is normal.. What did you do to help with bowle movements?

He went for a long time without ejaculation...actually he didn't at all ...there were times i thought he was about to but never did....eventually we stopped...and the later in the night started again..and again ...he never came....can i still get pregnant? i'm expecting my period this week and this happened 2 nights ago.

i was informed a few days ago that im 9 weeks along but ive been bleeding for an entire month! and when i went to have a sonogram done at the emergency room for the bleeding they said the baby is fine for now with a strong heart beat but the amount that im hemorrhaging is huge. has anyone been through this before? just curious... oh additional info: im 20 years old with 1 successful pregnancy and 1 unsuccessful pregnancy about 4 or 5 months ago.

I've been trying to read questions and answer on Yahoo about PCOS and everyones using terms i have no idea what they mean. I am new to PCOS and am not familiar with short names for hormones or meds etc and can't keep up with the msg of the paragraph bcos of it....can anyone giuve me common terms used during treament of pcos and and how we would refer to them in short?

i'd really appreciate your help?!

My husband last night commented that he wanted to put a time-out chair on the front porch, so when our three year old threw a tantrum he could just put her on the porch, shut the door and not hear it. I said that you can't kick a 3-year old out for throwing a tantrum and that it's ridiculous and abusive. He then tried to play it off as a joke, but I think he was trying to gauge my reaction because a part of him thought it was a good idea, and he would do it if I thought so, too. Am I wrong?

today is my last day of summer and i have my first day of school tomorrow (which i am NOT looking forward to) what can i do today? i don't think any of my friends can hangout cause they either have work or soccer practice. ugghh this is like the worst day of the year (no more freedom) so what can i do to keep occupied thats actually fun. i'm 15 and a sophmore.

how would it make you feel? how would you deal with it?
my kids aren't at school yet but I am just thinking about the possibility of this happening.

One of my friends was telling me about a reputable reiki master who has apparently has success in helping women with Pcos, i want to hear from you all if you have used reiki to help with Pcos or if you are a reiki master, if you think it helps to use this form of therapy. I have never been to a Reiki master before and although i believe in spiritual healing i know very little about it. I understand ofcourse that nutrition helps eg: cutting out simple carbs and ofcourse the Dr has told me about my insulin levels being too high. I just need a bit of insight from you all as this is all very new to me and i'm trying to improve my health by eating better and stressing less but i'm not sure if it's worth going to a reiki unless they can truly help with Pcos.

My older son just started first grade and is having problems focusing on his school work. He prefers to stand, bounce, and make cartoon-like noises instead of complete the task at hand. I've always noticed that he's had problems paying attention to things for a good length of time, save for TV and games. However, there's times when he'll get up and wander away from his favorite movies. He's really a bright kid, does great at math, reads like he's ten, and is extremely artistic. He can repeat what the teacher has just said when she suspects he hasn't been paying attention. His kinder. teacher noticed this as well.

I'm not eager to medicate my kid if he's got ADD, I'd prefer to find a method where he can learn to control himself. There has to be another way, some kind of exercises that we can do instead. The teacher hasn't been sending homework with him yet, but I have workbooks that he does and I insist that he read for an hour every day.

Can someone help?
Just come off pill....but cant you just work your due date as if you are on the pill still....3week on and 7 days off???
Or doesnt it work like that anymore?
I was on Microgynon 30 - had my period last month and then didnt take anymore and havent had a bleed half way through.
