As long as there has NOT been a reduction in movement you're okay. If this is how he has always moved, dont stress it.
If you're concerned call your OB and request a non stress test and U/S.

Try having a glass of orange juice or some milk and lay down for a while and see if that gets your baby going. If you are still concerned ring your doctor, I'm sure they would let you go in to hear the heartbeat.
Some babies don't move a lot, my daughter kicked all day and night, kept me awake and when was born barely slept. My son moved a little just to keep the concerns at bay, but when born slept like a champion. They are all different, even in the womb.

Your should feel baby move every 48 hours atleast, but if he has always been a roller, you might never have the harsh kicks some babies do. Each baby is very different, and you still have loads of time to be punched in the ribs.
Keep an eye on movement, but don't worry too much.

Do not listen to that second ****!!
As long as you can feel your baby moving (which will happen more during the evening) don't stress. If you baby used to kick you heaps ask your OB to check the heart beat hasn't dropped or anything, but maybe you've just got a laid back baby who just likes to lounge around! If you don't feel any movement at all for 24 hours, then speak to your OB straight away.
I'm sure you and you're baby will be perfectly fine.
(I'm guessing that it's your 1st baby - Good luck!)

Being active during the day shouldn't be a problem and in my experience you tend not to notice the kicking and movement of the baby while you are active. (try keeping an hourly chart, including your down time in the evening) Also, as the baby gets bigger he doesn't have as much room to move around and the movement SEEMS less, but its not, its just different, less kicking, more rolling.

some babies are not big movers in utero. this doesn't mean there is something wrong.
also you say that you are quite active during the day. maybe you aren't noticing the movement as much b/c you're so busy moving : )
also babies tend to be put to sleep when their moms are moving around or active alot so this might be occuring also.
you'll find that you notice your baby move more when you're lying down watching tv, lying in bed before sleep, etc. the baby sinces you've stopped moving and tends to be more alert.
as long as you are still feeling him move then i think everything is fine. if you go for more than24 hours with no movement then call your dr to see what he/she says.
congrats!!

I think if this is the way the little bug has always been moving, everything is fine. My jumping bean kicks all the time, and its quite uncomfortable....I remember the days when she couldnt hold me hostage in the bed while pressing away at my ribcage-ouch!
I always start worrying that something is wrong too- I think its the nature of being with child.More than likely everything is A-OK :o)

I had this same problem; my baby was too big and did not have enough room to move. I suggest you contact your doctor. They will have you come in and test the baby and it's movement. At the very least, it will set your mind at ease. Call now!
