i went to the ER for the bleeding and all they said was that the baby is still healthy. they were making it seem as if though the pregnanycy can go either way... fail or not fail. but they definately know about it. the lady tho who did my sonogram said that shes never seen that amount of blood before next to the sack the baby is in.

I was five weeks pregnant when I started hemmoraging. I also went the the emergency room where they told me the baby was ok. But when I went back to have a normal checkup at the doctors office they said that my uterus was empty. So it's probably unlikely to keep the baby if you're bleeding heavy. They also told me that there was probably something wrong with the baby which is why your body is trying to get rid of it. But I could be wrong and you still could have the baby if everything continues as is. It has been known to happen that women do bleed when pregnant.

Hi, I began bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant and continued to bleed for until 9 weeks. I was sure I had miscarried as the bleeding was heavy and fresh red and continued for 3 weeks. However the scan revealed that the baby was fine and the bleeding gradually stopped. It was caused by a haematoma next to the sac..I am now 19 weeks pregnant and all is well. I hope that this is the case for you and your bleeding stops. All the best x

Okay I've been bleeding since my 5th week. Off and on. I'm now 11 weeks and 2 days. I have a sub chonic hemorrage. The baby is fine but basicly I have a blood clot that needs to come out. I would call the doc and say you're still bleeding and maybe theyn can give you an u/s too see if you have it or whats going. But if your bleedin gets clotty, bright red and/or bad cramping go to the er. Good luck.

You said that you went to the ER? You need to go see your Dr as the ER is really only interested in stabilizing a patient, not long term care. I had bleeding during my 5th month one night in bed - about the size of a basketball. Baby was fine and now 10 yrs. I had a tipped uterus that caused 4 miscarriages and lots of spotting - sometimes heavy. Go to your OB/GYN and demand further testing. Good Luck, Hon.

I do know that my cousin bled for 8 months of her pregnancy, and delivered a full term healthy baby.

I am assume you have your appointment soon with your actual OB where they will do another US and more tests. Until then, try to be still and quiet, the more active you are the more you will bleed.

If you are just 9 weeks, it still can go either way.
Also, if you've had one unsuccessful pregnancy, there is the possibility that you may again.
Since you have been to the ER, I would suggest that you get in to see your regular OB/GYN as soon as possible.

I have been there, and I know it's scary. Just take care of yourself, and get in to see your doctor ASAP.

Very weird-did they give you no reason for this bleeding (I think hemorrhaging might be a strong word).

Blood in the panties ALWAYS seems like more than it is. The average woman's period is less than 1/4 cup. TOTAL.

My uneducated guess is that you might have lost a twin to this baby, but I'd like to know what the ER says about the blood loss.

Good luck and stay well.

you need to get to a doctor if you are still bleeding. I have never heard of someone bleeding that long during pregnancy. I would go to the doctor just to make sure and make yourself feel better

I was born via Cesarian section. My mom had placenta previa. You could take a look on this and other Pregnancy complications in your search engine. You have to have medical help since in my profession, when pregnant moms bleeds that means a lot.

there's a lot of women that do experience severe hemorrage, and there's still not risk of losing their baby, if they say everything is fine, I think you have to trust your doctors, other than that I will advice you to go to the hospital again, they may send you home, for a high pregnancy risk and demand for you to rest and stay in bed, good luck.
