I have heard all different things. Some people said they got pregnant a month after miscarrying. Of course the doctor will give you his/her opinion.
My first pregnancy ended at 8 weeks due to Trisomy 15. I had a D&C right away so I could get it over with and try again ASAP. Plus, I didn't want to go through a possibly really painful, hard natural miscarriage (esp not knowing when it might happen - I'd be trapped at home for who knows how long). My RE told me I should probably wait about a month. I waited til my monthly thing returned (a little over a month later - then I started trying right away. I have read stories online of women getting pregnant again without getting the next monthly thing. Personally I thought it was best to give my body a break and wait for a normal cycle to show - make sure everything seemed to be running correctly.
There may be certain reasons a doctor would want someone to wait longer.
Sorry for your loss and best wishes for a BFP ASAP!

Different doctors say different things. Some say you can start immediately, some say 3 months, and some even say 6 months.

I had a miscarriage (started naturally, then went in for a D&C because it hurt) at 11 weeks due to blighted ovum and my doctor said to wait 3 months before trying again. I couldn't wait that long, so...

My period came after 6 weeks (it's usual not to ovulate before your first period, although some do--I didn't, though) and then right after that I got pregnant. I just hit 12 weeks and the baby is very healthy and has a strong heartbeat.

It really depends on how far along you were, was it natural or did you need a D & C. I got pregnat right after a miscarriage without having a period. I think most doctors want you to wait for at least one cycle before trying again. If you feel you are ready and your body is ready then I would go for it.

Good luck

I dont have to wait at all for you to try again.

You dont have to wait either. Most women's bodies ovulate again right after.

Theres no reason to wait, unless you were past your first trimester. If you're farther along your body has to heal from the premature birth and D&C.

Most doctors tell you to wait a while for your own sanity, it can be a little harder to get pregnant after that pH change and stress, generally after a couple months that has changed.

When it happened to me, my Doc said I had to wait 1 period before I could try again. But I was in a hurry, I think he wanted me to wait for 2 bleeds, but 1 was fine.
