Get yourself a cool mist humidifier and run it at night in the baby's room. If congestion is really bad, you may want to use it during the day in the room where your baby in spending the most time. Saline nasal drops (Little Noses is one brand) can be used as often as is necessary. You just put a couple drops in the nostril to loosen up the congestion and use an aspirator to suction the nose clear. No need to buy any medications ... the pediatrician's usually don't advocate the use of anything for a cold. It will run it's course in about a week.

If your child has a fever, ask your pediatrician about their preferred choice for fever medication. Infants' Tylenol and/or Motrin is often recommended, but since your baby is so young, you will need to follow their advice.

Check with your pediatrician but I liked Baby Vick's vapor rub, a humidifier and elevating her head where ever she slept. I suctioned her nose often and put drops in her nose to break up the mucus (usually salt and water mixture). Good luck.

If she doesn't have a fever there is not a whole lot you can do. Hold her, keep her little nose clear with a bulb syringe, and feed her as much as she wants. Call your pediatrician and see what they say.

It never hurts to go to the doctor and see about getting antibotics. My son always gets ear infections when he gets a cold. I also use a cool air humidifier in his room every night and it seems to help.
