My daughters b-day is Dec. 19th and I'm 20.5 weeks pregnant and his due date is Dec. 14th. Any tips on NOT going broke trying to buy b-day gifts and Christmas gifts? B-day's will surley be seperate from Christmas!

Does anyone feel that this is inappropriate for a 9 yr old girl?? I am very open minded, an artist, musician...but I have my niece staying with me and she is asking me to unblock this site for her...I looked at it and some of the clips on there...they seem a little too boy crazyish for a 9 yr old...or am I just a stick in the mud??

my baby is only a week old. i recently switched him from formula to breastmilk and then back to formula exclusively. since the switch from breastmilk to formula my baby has been constipated. i know this is very common but how long will it be before my baby starts having regular bowel movements again?

I'm having a fit because my mother in law insists on giving our son food! He's almost 5 months old, and I am at my wits end. She says it's ok that's how we did it back in the day, she also gives him diluted juice. Why do older people take it upon themselves to do whatever they think is right for your child? When can he have this stuff?

I always worry about them spitting up in the middle of the night an choking. I am a new parent an I am somewhat ignorant of newborns. I do the burp the baby an feed it properly. I just worry that they may choke when they spit up.Any info or advice?

I'm divorcing my husband and I are divoricing. He has a 7 year old daughter and we're really close. I'm moving to LA and she's moving with her dad to Washington State. Her Mom is already up there so she can contuniue having custody over my husband's daughter. I want to do something special since I won't see her for awhile. I leave in two weeks. Her mom says I can visit her whenever, since we're friends, but my husband isn't moving for about four months. Also, I got her Niki, the girl of the year American Girl doll and a lot of outfits and accesories. We live in Connecicut.

In the last couple of months, I've noticed that my 4 year old daughter has body odor! I don't really smell it unless I'm up close to her, but it's definately the oniony, body odor smell! Isn't she a little too young for that? I've left a message for her pediatrician and he said that he was going to do some research about it and get back to me, but I just wonder if anyone else has had this happen w/ their young children. She's usually "smellier" after a day of hard play, and it goes away after her bath, but it's usually an every day occurence. Any ideas?!?!

My daughter is 16months old. I work everday teaching her new words (she was a very well vocab inculding thank you and welcome) here is my issue.. Her name is Emily, my future in-laws and family call her Emmie and it drives me nuts. It takes the same amount of effort to say Emily as Emmie... I want her to learn her correct name. Am I being ridiculous by feeling this way? How can I go about this in a nice way?

My sisters boyfriend got residential custody of their 4yr. old. He will not let her take her child out, he only allowes her to come and see her when he says it's okay. She did not give full custody to him. Yet she said the child could resign with him. That is where the child is living. Is she still allowed to pick up her child?

On Beach Patrol last night there was a girl and her 12 yr old brother dropped off by their Nana at a very popular Hawaiian beach. The girl sprained her ankle. I just don't see why you would do that. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just asking, would you ever do that?

I drink a lot of milk, and have been ttc for 7 months.

I stopped drinking milk completely, and got pregnant, so maybe it worked, but there are many other factors that could have helped conception for me.

I have read so many rumors on the net about not drinking milk...just wondering what everyone else knows about this.

My little girl is 12 days old and everytime i put her down to nap or for bedtime she wakes up 30 minutes later....I have tried to swaddle her and make sure shes sound asleep first but she always wakes up....so you can imagine how hard it is to do anything during the day without carrying her around 24/7....anyone have/had this problem and can offer any advice...thinking about getting a sleep wedge with built in heart beat but dont want to waste my money if it doesnt work any suggestions? thanks in advance
