I drink a lot of milk, and have been ttc for 7 months.

I stopped drinking milk completely, and got pregnant, so maybe it worked, but there are many other factors that could have helped conception for me.

I have read so many rumors on the net about not drinking milk...just wondering what everyone else knows about this.

I suppose I should be more specific:
I am not wondering about its effects as a contraceptive.

I have heard that when you drink milk, there is galactose circulating in your blood, and this keeps your uterus from softening enough to conceive.

I drank lots of milk the last time I conceived, but have been considering everything since I started having fertility problems.

Thank you to the people who have NOT posted rude comments.

The only time drinking milk will keep you from getting pregnant is if you drink it in an absolutely hiddeous outfit that no one could possibly find you attractive in. Note: it's just a myth. Large quantities of milk did at one time in our history hinder women from easily becoming pregnant years and years ago, but the processing of milk has changed since.

Milk stops people from getting pregnant just like swallowing the spermies can lead to pregnancy. Sheesh the urban legends that are swirling around these days.

I've heard that soya milk can affect fertility because it contains phytoestrogen, but god knows they put so many hormones and additives in our food these days who knows what the heck we're eating and what effect it is having on us.
