My son is 12 months and I want him to start walking, any suggestions to get him start walking? He still crawls!!

I'm 38 weeks and 4 days and I have had diarhea for several days now. I am drinking plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. I was just wondering if this could be a sign of impending labor, or if it is just me. I havent eaten anything out of the norm so I dont think it is that. Just curious. Thanks.

hey everyone i am 15 weeks pregnant, and i kind of get a sharp pain sumtimes under my left breast, its not my breast its like my rib cage, is it pregnancy related?

Hey everyone i am 15 weeks pregnant , i took this medicine called lactulose to help me poo, well it helped but it has given me GAS i mean bad gas, i have these unbelievable farts, and its all in my chest, and back ugh! anyone know any relief?

i asked this yesterday but i want to ask again and be more specific about my pregnancy. 2 weeks ago my babys head was at -2 station and i was 50% effaced and my cervix was closed. i'm 37 weeks as of today and i had gone to my prenatal care appointment 2 days ago and my midwife told me my babys head is at -1 station, i'm 75% effaced & 1 cm dialated. when do you guys think my baby will come? is there a chance she can come by this weekend? i've been adviced to walk a lot and it helps but how much does it help? any advice? i'm really excited and would love to have her come out now. =]

My son will be 5 in Mid September. His Nursery school strongly suggested holding him back a year form entering kindergarten. We are unsure of what do do. But, we don't completely agree with the school.

Im turning 21 in August and my boyfriend and I got pregnant. We are moving out of our apartment and in with my parents this weekend. Not only am I NOT ready to be pregnant but im NOT ready to have a child. I can do parenting and say yes or no but im NOT ready to have a child that needs to be taken care of every minute of everyday.


We are not ready for a baby. What should be my BIGGEST concern other than health? OTHER than health?? Have a appropriate vehicle, saving to MOVE into our own place, whats the biggest priority until the babies born?

She has 2 kids (age 4&5) that are quite a handful. I'm a stay at home mom with an infant daughter. Money is really tight with us, and it would really help us make bills if I were bringing in money without having to put our daughter in daycare (that would cost equal to what I could earn), also watching them takes away time I could be doing housework-yardwork-playdates, and online surveys and focus groups that bring in anywhere between $1 and $35 every day) etc that I acomplish during my daughters naps.
She's a single mom and daycare in our area would cost her $410 per week (about $82 per day) for her kids (which is about what she earns).
I feel obligated to help her out, and know my husband expects me to, but am not sure if it's fair to ask to be paid for helping her out, and if so how much is fair to ask??

My husband is in the military and we live far away from our family. Therefore, when we visit the baby shower was going to take place. Is it wrong for the shower to be then when we live so far away and want to see everyone?

My son is now 8 months old... and he is a really active baby.. it just seems like everyone views his activity level as if it wasn't normal.. should i worry? My first babysitter said that she couldn't handle taking care of him anymore because she was also taking care of her mom who is elderly.. but today he went to a new babysitter and she quit on the first day!!.. is there a way you could actually say my baby is overly active??

i am 9 weeks pregnant, yesterday i just suddenly started bleeding but it sopped. Today I started bleeding again. I also have cramps and pains in my side.
The smell of the blood smell likes afterbirth blood and it also had blood clots in it.
Am I right and should i rush to the emergency room.?

I had a scan at 6 weeks and she said my due date was July 25th. And than I had a another scan at what I thought was 30 weeks but she said I was actually 32 weeks and the baby weighed at that point 4lbs. 6 ounces. Is that the average weight? Does anyone know anything about this? This is my first pregnancy and I know nothing! lol Thanks!

I had my 20 week scan today and I asked to know the sex. The scanner showed my baby on screen the baby and it looked like the baby had a penis, but the scanner said it might not be a boy (because she couldnt see a scrotum) but it could be a enlarged clitoris. She said that it could be a boy, or a girl. She said that in foetuses of this gestation, it was common for girls' clitorises to be very enlarged but that they become more prorportional over time.

Was she right or just trying to not worry me? I mean If its a boy, then no worries, but what if its a girl and the clitoris doesnt go down? Has anyone else seen a scan of a girl with a VERY enlarged clitoris??

I guess i am particularly worried because my family tends to have girls - 90% almost.

Please only serious responses , i am probably stressing over nothing but just want to hear from other mums who have experienced similar things.

OK, my son, who is 10 months old has starting gagging when I give him his baby food. He used to love it, eating three jars at the time. Now, he will only eat the fruits & deserts. Is this normal behavior, & how can I still be sure he is getting all the nutrients he needs? He has been eating a little table food: sliced cooked carrots, mac & cheese, sliced bananas, & mashed potatoes, but I am afraid that is not enough to give him what he needs. Is this just a phase or does he just not like baby food anymore? Please help, any advice is welcome. Thanks for you comments & advice.
