My husband is in the military and we live far away from our family. Therefore, when we visit the baby shower was going to take place. Is it wrong for the shower to be then when we live so far away and want to see everyone?

No, that is not too early. Especially given the circumstances. Some will argue over etiquette, but we can't please everyone. I say go for it and enjoy yourself as well as the time with family.

No. I'm having my shower the second week of July, I'll be 30 weeks. I'm having it then because I live on the west coast and my whole family lives on the east coast and some of my aunts and family members are coming here for a vaction.

No way is it bad. Your family wants to be there and throw you a shower. Congratulations and I hope you get what you need.
