You are stressing over nothing. Relax.
Fetal scans at 20 weeks are usually able to determine the sex, but it depends on the position of the baby, the skill of the sonographer and the quality of the equipment. Babies sexual organs do tend to be engorged when they are born, and it goes down over the first few weeks.
If you are still concerned, and want more reassurance, consider getting a 3d or 4d scan done. You'll have to pay for it, as insurance companies don't cover them (most of the time) . In my area, they run about $200. The diagnostic center requires your doctor to verbally approve the scan, and they generally aren't done until about 25 weeks. It's cool though--the center by me provided my sister with a dvd of the entire session, still photos, and many other keepsakes, as well as allowing the family to sit and watch. You could clearly see the baby's face, hands, little movements under the eyelids and of the lips, as well as the genetailia.

Honestly, on the next scan, the radiologist will be able to tell. The baby is really just a mishmash of colors on the screen, and just like looking at abstract art, they are not always 100% sure what they see. I would not worry about it, and seriously think there was something wrong with the camera taking a picture of the baby rather than the actual picture of the baby.
Dont worry! Good luck!

first off what your family has on your side isnt related to what your having..
gender is determine from the man.. so look at whats common on his side.. even though that doesnt always work out..
if you can afford a scan from a pvt office you might look into that.. a 3D would be good.. it should show you a better picture..
it doesnt sound right about the female being inlarge... because about 10 weeks is when they start developing..its just hard to see then... as for the sac.. the baby could of been hiding it.. maybe not completely dropped....

It must have been worrying for you, but medical professionals don't lie to you just to make you feel better. I'm sure she was right and that there is nothing to worry about.
The gender of the child is determined by the male sperm, so how many girls there are in your family will not influence your chances of having a boy or girl.

I have had three girls and all of them had enlarged genitalia when they were born. My middle daughter even bled. The swelling all went down within a couple of weeks. I think it's something to do with your hormones passing through to the baby but it's very normal so don't worry. My girls are all perfectly ok. I promise! Good luck xx

Dont worry, doctors are wrong sometimes about the babys sex. My friend thought she was having a girl until she delivered then she had to redo the room for a boy! So dont be worried, mistakes happen and sometimes docs cant see straight LOL

You really shouldnt be worried about the SEXUAL development.
US's are not very clear, and the doc said herself, its common. My sons penis was very swollen looking through the US. Its ok.

You are anticipating problems that might never eventuate and given the fact that you are pregnant worrying wont help you or the baby.
