you should have called your doctor yesterday when the bleeding started, not that you could have stopped a miscarriage if you did in fact have one. You need to talk to your doctor when anything strange happens not get on the computer - take care and i hope everything work out. AND how does anyone know what afterbirth smells like anyway???

You definitely should go into the emergency room! Better to be safe than sorry.
In my case, I wasn't sure also since I was early in my preganancy and I didn't know how much blood/blood clots warranted a miscarriage. Fortunatley in my case I was considered just spotting and my baby was okay.
Again, its always safer to make sure from a licensed doctor than to wait it out and cause a possible infection to yourself.

If you are bleeding at any point during pregnancy you should always go in to see your doctor. Whether the bleeding stops or not that is a sign that something could be wrong. Definetly go in as soon as you can.

I've never been pregnant or miscarried, but...

YES! You're pregnant, you should NOT be bleeding. If you can call your OB/GYN, do it, ask them for advice. If any local hospital has an advice line, call and ask them. According to webmd.com "Any vaginal bleeding, other than spotting, during early pregnancy is considered a threatened miscarriage."

If I was in your situation, I wouldn't take any chances.

Best of luck....

Well, it certainly sounds like one, but use your head! You are having pain and bleeding and you're pregnant! You should have gone to the ER immediately, not take the time to post this.

You need to go to the ER if you are bleeding heavily; especially if your bleeding is increasing in volume. I would certainly suspect a miscarriage with those symptoms.

My sympathies on your loss.

Of course you should. If you think you have had a miscarriage, you should do what you can to find out for sure and put your mind at rest.
I'm so sorry that you are going through this, but you need to get treated.

Call your doctor. Don't let strangers diagnose something so important.

It does sound like a miscarriage, sorry. Get checked out right away and good luck.
