I had a scan at 6 weeks and she said my due date was July 25th. And than I had a another scan at what I thought was 30 weeks but she said I was actually 32 weeks and the baby weighed at that point 4lbs. 6 ounces. Is that the average weight? Does anyone know anything about this? This is my first pregnancy and I know nothing! lol Thanks!

That sounds good actually. A pregnancy is actually 10 months is you think about it and doctors wont even consider delivery until 36 weeks and thats only if needed. I have learned after my three kids that often a scan cant really tell you when your due date is so just relax and enjoy(if you can) being pregnant. Itll work out.

i recommend a book called what to expect when your expecting. the Dr's an there scans are usually either ahead a week or behind a week i say your going to have your baby between July 18th an Aug 1st. best of luck

It sounds like your little ones are very healthy. To be triplets and 4.5 pounds at 32 weeks is AWESOME! that means if they go all the way to 40 weeks, they should each gain another 4 pounds, that would make them 8.5 pounds each, which is an excellent birthweight. Even if they just make it another 5 weeks (37 weeks is considered term these days) they will be 7 ponds each which is terrific. My 2nd son was born at 33 weeks and was 5pounds 1oz and he was a single birth. So you are doing GREAT! Congratulations and good luck to make it to week 37!!!

The earlier scans are the most accurate because later on genetics kick in. My doctor told me that they should never change your due date after the first sonogram.
