Leah reminds me of someone who is quiet, shy and "behind the scenes". The Leah of the Bible was Jacob's first wife...forced on him by a deceitful father. He loved her sister Rachael more, and always felt rejected. I have always felt compassion for poor Leah.

Leah is my name so it reminds me of me. I love my name and I highly recommend using it. I am a quiet person and I love kids. I am a teacher and I run my own daycare. I feel I have been very successful and I like the woman I have become. I would be very honered if you named your child with my name. Congrats!

I agree with carinyosa99. It reminds me of the Bible. I think of Leah as a outgoing, smart, and sort of loud person.

A soft, beautiful girl ... gentle mannerisms, considerate of others, with dark brown hair and deep brown eyes, and soft peaches and cream skin.
I'm not really sure why ... i've never known anyone name Leah. And, so long as you pronounce it properly, most people won't be reminded of Star Wars ^_^

It reminds me of my beautiful friend. She pronounces it Lee-uh. She is so nice and has a lovely personality. I think it is a pretty name. But I like it pronounced the way my friend pronounces it better than Lay-uh.
