i heard that if it's a boy it has a lower heartrate on your ultrasounds. is that true? if so what are the heartrate ranges for a boy or a girl anyone know?

This may sound like a silly question but this is worrying me. We'll be taking our first trip with our 6 month old and will not be lugging our baby tub with us (we're flying). We'll be staying w/family half our trip (they have no kids-which means no baby tub) and in a hotel the other half. How do I give my baby a bath? Do I just give him a sponge bath? He can't sit unsupported just yet and I am not thrilled with sitting him in an icky hotel tub. I am curious to know what other moms have done while vacationing w/a baby.

My husband and I have been TTC for 4 months with no luck so far. Every month we try something new that we have heard helps to concieve. This month we bought a male fertility test and from what the test says my husband may have a low sperm count. We are going to consult a Dr for a real test. My questions are these: has anyone else used these at home male fertility tests? Are they accurate? Also, can anyone offer some suggestions for conceiving if in fact we do have a low sperm count. Thanks for your answers!

No, I have not taken a pregnantcy test. I have asked my mother to get me one and she wants to wait more time, so that we do not waste money. If I am pregnant I believe that I am in my second trimester (17-18 weeks). I have had my period every month so far, but for the past two and a half weeks I have not been able to stop eating. I will not even be hungry, but yet I feel I must eat. My normal weight is 117, now I am 128. Most of my weight is going to my belly, below my belly button. I am unable to say if I have had morining sickness because my boyfriend died just one week after I believe I got pregnant (if I am), so I have been very destraught. I did feel like I could throw up, but that could be from the trama. The skin on my face has been very dry for the past week. Oh, yes and I have been having gas alot the past two weeks also. Please I would like to know if anyone could give me another reason other than pregnant, but if I am that is great, too.

Lately, I have been really down, crying at everything, moody, alot of the same symptoms(sp) I had a couple of years ago when I was depressed. My baby isn't even here yet. I still love my baby and my other children. It's everyone else. Is this normal? Is it just more hormones? Can anyone relate, and if so, what did you do about it?

every year my mom gets worse because of my step dad, anyways today/valentines day i didnt get anything from her or my family and last week was my bday, i turrned 14 and no one got me anything only a card from my aunt my 2 gmas and my step sister well my mom told me happy birthday once and that was in the middle of the night she said o devin i almost forgot happy bday, my dad called me and said happy bday but i havent been up there for awhile anyway my mom didnt even get me a card yet when my 2 step sisters bdays and my lil half sisters bday somes around shes all about buying them gifts, and im the one that goes to work with her when i dont have school and i work just as hard as her and IM her kid she treats me with disrespect like one time i was asleep and my baby sister found a sippy cup with water from a day ago in it i had no idea because i was asleep and she was sitting right next to the kid and pays no attention then starts screaming at my and threw the cup at the wall behind me saying get the f*** up u lazy fat a** b**** and ripped the cover off of me...THIS WAS 6 A.M. ON A WEEKEND well I got up and got my sister a new cup with milk while she sat there then I came back and went to lay down (I was in the livingroom) and I got the blanket and she said, don’t even think about going to sleep u lazy b**** I mean come on thats no way to treat me is it? I do everything for her I stay home and babysit my sister so she can go out and party and shell go shopping and buy a bunch of junk food well shell eat all of it and not realize it then blame it on me when I didnt even touch it...what can I do about her?

and the new bottle says to only take one tablet a day, and my old bottle said to take two a day they both have the same amount of folic acid and the new bottle has less calcium and everything else is about the same amount should i just take two tablets of the new bottle like i was before with the old ones i was taking

If someone calls CPS will they see that you are doing good as a parent or will you be in the system forever because someone called them? Sometimes I worry, people can be so nosy.. and I think I am doing good, but sometimes I wonder, what if someone sees something that I am doing wrong that I don't know I am doing wrong?

In this day and age, is that a common fear?

"I am 25 weeks pregnant and occasionally I have a weird pain. I feel this tightening in my stomach that intensifies then it hurts to breathe deeply I can only take shallow breaths for a few minutes. Then the feeling passes and I am fine. This has happend two or three times in the past two weeks. The baby is fine too, I feel him constantly. What however though is causing that pain?"
