You will never and I mean never have to pay to get your baby in modeling. Some agencies will charge you fees for headshot and all sorts of things. These are fraudulant agencies. They are not real modeling agencies.

Get on the internet and look for talent, model agencies in your area. Send them pics of your baby with info such as name, age, eye and hair color, size clothes they are in. Include your name, email, and phone number. All of this is best if put on the back of the baby's 4x6 size pic. as well as in a resume type letter. Send them new pic every month if you are really serious. You will not get replies unless they are interested or if they represent infants. Very few agencies take children under a certain age.

You DO NOT have to have professional pic made. Agencies prefer to see babies and young children in good clear close up shots made in normal setting.

And remember no matter how encouraging and wonderful an agent sounds if he ask for money or headshots or even mentions you paying anything walk away. You never, ever pay a real agent, they make their money on the commissions they make off the work they provide for your child. Many a parent has spent thousand upon thousand to agencies that are fake because of the wonderful sounding promises made to them and their kids never modeled or made a dime.

Check out agents on the web if you see or hear an agencies name. You will find blogs that help you determine if they are fake or not.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

There is a way to find agents that are accredited in your area but, I can't find it right now. I will ask my daughter tomorrow and add it my answer.

OK. I finally found it. Click on this link and then go to the resource button on the right of the page and find agent. It will direct you to another page and you click on 'find one now'. Chose your state and it will give you a list of the accredited agents in your area. Not all agents are members but most are. It is a good place to start.

It's difficult, very competitive. You have to constantly get new pictures taken and get an agent, go to calls. Very tough. You have to really, really want to do this, and have some money to put into it up front. Your baby has to not only be good looking but fairly well behaved. You should also live near an area that does a lot of catalogs or magazines. Good luck to you, but I'd find some other way to spend your time.

I saw a blurb in the baby magazine about that. And they said the use kids from the model agencys from NY. So they said to check with the NY agencys. I wanted to know the same thing you did and happen to find that out.

Here you go this might help:

I'm pretty sure that those two magazines only get baby models through real agencies, not through proud mommy's just sending in photo's, so if you really wanna get into modeling, you'll have to get an agent. And they cost $, which is why I haven't even attempted to get my son into it!

But hey, if anyone knows another way, please review with a serious answer!

Look in your local yellow pages or search web under talent, modelling, or children, etc.

Also check out all the magazine sites your interested in because they always have contests and a lot of them require sending in a photo.

Not a good idea. There are some crazy mothers and fathers out there that will exude violence just to get their babies modeling jobs.
