Well they are all old wives tales but its fun and sometimes you end up right. Boys are supposed to be lower which in my case it was true. My son's heartbeat ran in the 140's and my girls were 150's and 160's. I had my sono dr. tell me that her 2 boys heartbeats were in the 160's though and other people say the same. So you can never know for sure.

Eh, they'll try to predict from that, but it's not accurate. They told my mom I was a different gender every other month going by my heartrate. A girl's heartrate is supposed to be higher...but like I said, it's really more accurate to wait till baby is in a good position and big enough for an ultrasound.

no, heart rates can vary minute by minute, let alone dr visit to dr visit. Many factors can bump up the heartrate. Most doctors don't even tell you "oh, it sounds like a boy/girl" anymore. This is just an old wives' tale unsubstantiated by science.

edit: lol, case in point: look at all the "girls are faster" "boys are faster" disagreements. It is all anecdotal.

Old wives tell. Everytime I went in for my check ups at my OB's office they would listen to the heart and it would be low and the nurse would say, "its going to be a boy, low heart rate" well, on my 28 week ultrasound the u/s tech said he was 100% sure it was a girl. So, no, its not right.

i recognize what you're talking approximately when I first went to the wellbeing care expert the middle fee become 182 after that it went each of how right down to one hundred and fifty or possibly decrease than that inspite of the easy certainty that it became out I had a boy. i might say save tabs on what decision it keeps to be in and whether that's decrease than one hundred and fifty then that's a boy any element above that greater suitable than probable is a woman.

Nah. Regardless of the heart rate you still have a 50/50 chance of either sex. According to the old wive's tale, my son should have been a girl. His heart rate was over 140 up until I was in labor. Then it was around 130.

No, the heartrate depends on how active the baby is when they listen to it. If the baby is awake and kicking it will be higher, and if the baby is sleeping it will be lower.
