OK, so I think of myself as somewhat of an expert on extreme weather, since I lived 30 years of my life in N.E. Wisconsin, 1 year in Boston, and 3 years in Bullhead City AZ (one of the hottest cities in the U.S.) So, for cold weather (like we have been having hear in Wisconsin lately with temps 20 below or worse), I firmly believe that gloves suck and mittens are the way to go. Mittens are warmer than gloves (of like material/construction) because having the fingers together is advantage.
The problem is, I can never find good mittens for my 5 year old daughter. This has been a problem year after year, even when I look for them early in the season (October/November). They seem to be somewhat easier to find in the boys section, but still pretty scarce.
I even looked on Ebay, and the selection is pretty pathetic there too. Where can you find so warm childrens' mittens (preferrably water resistant) for a fair price!?! This is insane!
