I can pump 3oz of milk from one breast in about 10 minutes with a manual pump - is this normal or do I have too much milk?

It's different for everyone. I wouldn't say that you have too much milk. You are lucky that you can pump that much with a manual pump in such a short period of time! That's great!!

Each person is different, but I'd say you're fine. Milk production is based on how much the baby is consuming, so it is what it is. I would have loved to be able to produce 3 oz of milk in 10 minutes (at most, I did 5 oz from both with an electric pump).

I guess everyone is different but I pump 3-4oz each breast in 10 mins as well. Sounds fine to me....how often do you do this? I produce more milk first thing in the morning than later on in the day.

Lucky you!! I would love to be able to express enough to leave my daughter with EBM, but it takes me about 3 days to collect that much...
I don't think there is any suchj thing as too much milk. You don't mention how old your little one is, I expect s/he is very new. If this is the case, carry on pumping as you want to going forward to help your body produce what is needed. It will settle down!

Everyone is different but isn't it better to have too much rather than not enough? Did you know you can freeze your breast milk? My daughter-in-law used to & until I saw her do it, I had no idea that it could be frozen.

Sounds like me - I have a 10 week old son and have loads and loads of milk! Its a good thing really, only problem is when you start leaking everywhere!!

No such thing as too much - you're doing great! I was nursing my son and pumping for a friend who adopted, and was happy that I always had extra.

that is completly normal the more you pump os your baby lactates the more milk you will be producing keep doing it and more willl come out in less time

I think its normal! I use to pump 3 oz out of one and like 2 out of the other. Good luck when you stop!! HAHA your boobs are gonna be huge like mine were!! I never wanna go through that again!
