Most babies cut their first teeth around 6 months. Every child is different. I had a niece who didn't get her first tooth until she was 9 months old. Both of my kids got theirs around 6 months, but they started the drooling around 4 months.

unfortunately there's no true way to tell exactly when your baby is going to cut his teeth. there are plenty of signs for teething, but not cutting teeth. i'm a preschool teacher. i work with 1-2 year olds. i have a 14 month old boy in my class that still only has 2 teeth. amazingly this has not hindered him in other areas of development. he still eats regular school lunch including: chicken, rice, fruit, dinner roll, pizza, cheese sticks, veggies, hamburgers. it will all come in time. just be patient and remember that it's not much fun for him. good luck.

i'm also a mother of two and pregnant with my 3rd. my youngest started teething at 3.5 months but didn't cut until about 5 months. she got 4 at one time. lol.

I was thinking the same thing about my daughter. She is almost 6 months, and her teeth haven't come yet either. I think it is just different for all babies. There is no set time.

Most typical age is anywhere between 3 and6 months. No worries if it doesnt happen by then.. if by 12 months nothing.. take baby to a pediodontist.
