I've heard my baby's heartbeat 3 times once at 9 weeks, then 12 weeks and again at 14 weeks...it is most comforting to hear but then I always want to hear it again so soon after because I worry so much! Does anyone use a bebe sounds monitor?? Im interested in trying one

WASTE OF 20 BUCKS!!! You won't be able to hear any heartbeats with it until you're already well into your 3rd trimester and even then it's very VERY faint. I'm a nurse and still had a hard time with mine.
By the time you're in your 3rd trimester, you'll be feeling the baby move every day anyhow.
You're already past week 14, so in time you'll begin to feel those first little flutters. Just be paitent mama!!!!

The ones you can buy at walmart can be heard as early as 20 weeks but that is not a guarentee(have know people who can't hear even right before delivery)so they could be a waste of money. There are places where you can rent them that are just like the ones that your doctor uses.

I tried a pricier verison of the bebe, I forgot the name of it but I only started finally hearing it when I was 8 months along. Those things really do not work that well

They have monitors that you can certainly use at home for listening to the baby's heartbeat. you can also try going to a medical supply store and getting a stethescope at home. If these are not viable options- you can ask your doctor to make you a recording of it!

I bought a cheap one at Walmart and it was crap--I never could figure out what I was hearing unless the baby happened to kick the microphone.

The ones they sell at the store are crap, they might pick up a little heart rate when you are in your last trimester. I suggest renting one, they are medical grade. I got mine at babyfm.com and I use it every day.

i haven't used the baby heart monitor you mentioned, but i do know that my boyfriend's niece had problems when she was pregnant and she used to rent one from a Shoppers Drug Mart supply store (i forget what the exact name of it was) but they sell stuff like oxygen tanks and stuff like that. we are in canada though (not sure where you are from) so they might not have a store like that where you are.
