For instance, a woman has Polycystic ovarian syndrowe and her eggs dont mature to naturally ovulate, is it possible to get a surrogate mother to implant the woman's eggs and father's sperm, or would that prove to be impossible since the eggs would need to mature naturally?

Hi,

I need an advice about the Maternity Allowance. I know I can't get Statutory Maternity because I'm not in my currect job enough time. I live in UK.

What I need to know is what is the earliest date when I can leave my job and go for matenity (because I don't feel well). I know that the women who can get Statutory maternity need to go for maternity in correct time otherwise will lose the money. But I've heard if I can get only Maternity Allowance then I can leave at anytime and I will not loose my Maternity Allowance. What I want to add is that my currect position is only temporary and I will not return here after my pregnancy.
My due date is 30/05/2007.I jus want to know if I can go at any time and I will not lose the money.

Hello everyone. I am in my 6th week of pregnancy and I am feeling some sharp pains on my one side. They are not constant but they come and go. I have an appt. on Thursday with the doctor but I am wondering at what stage would a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy become known to the individual. If any of you have ever had one what exactly does it feel like? I've asked a similar question before but becuase it hasn't gone away totally I am a little worried. I do not have nausea, i am a little dizzy but that is all.

Thanks. Serious answers please!

I've seen some emails and heard some of her conversations where she tells her boyfriend to bring a condom when they go out. We have a pretty open relationship but on this point, I think she's just not playing it safe. I'm not against sex... I'm just against unprotected sex. HELP HELP HELP... what do I do now??

I may sound so clueless but, I am confuse. They said the pregnancy is 40 weeks...in my calculation in order to get 9 months out of the 40 weeks... it's 5 weeks each month. Isn't suppose to be every 4 weeks though??? I'm almost twelve weeks... Does that means I'm three months pregnant???? Okay please mother's explain????

Hubby and I are expecting baby #2 in four months. Our first child is 22 months old right now. I'd like to introduce potty training soon because she has shown a real interest and I believe she's ready. However, I've read that a new baby can push a toddler's potty training progress way back, and I would hate to spend all that time training her if she is likely to revert back to diapers.

To the experienced parents out there, what has worked for you and what do you suggest? Would it be better to wait until she's had a chance to adjust to the new baby before even thinking of the potty? Or would it be better to get started now and deal with any set-backs as they come?

I had my son in May and the father wasn't there to sign the birthcertificate. I gave him my last name too. Now that my baby daddy is in a better state of mind, he wants to be added onto the birthcertificate as the father and give my baby his last name, which I have no objection to. Adding him onto the BC as the father is a simple process. It's the changing my baby's last name to his dads last name that is the challenging things, for me anyways. I just know I have to petition the court to change his name. Can anyone enlighten me on what to expect or tips on how to go about it? Also, I don't know if this will matter, but considering its a process done in court, my baby daddy is not a legal citized...will that present any problems? I would really appreciate the advice...Thank You!

I am not a first time mom. But with my last baby I am at my WITS end! 10 months old and still getting up 2-3 times a night. Even during his nap today he slept 1 1/2 hours and woke up 3 times. There are so many things you can do but I am not sure what method to try. The only thing I do NOT want to do is put him in our bed. I usually try to pat his back while he is still in bed but he just cries the whole time until I get him out, take him down stairs, offer him a bottle and rock him back to sleep. I then put him back in his bed and he is up again a few hours later. Any Advice???

Hi,
My friend is pregnant and due in April. She has a gift registry with a few things she wants, but I feel like she is trying to be humble, so she has kept many things off the list.
I am hoping any parents can give me a GREAT gift idea, something that has become essential for you or the baby. Is there ANYTHING that you wished you would have thought of for the registry and ended up buying after the baby was born because it was neccesary? -OR- what is the best gift that you did receive?
Also, I KNOW the best GIFT is going to be donating some of my time to help her and the baby for a few weekends (we live long distance apart.) But I need something for the shower!!

Thanks!!

I have a 8 month old daughter and she has started to stretch her nap times. We used to get 6 - 1 hour naps during the day, and now shes down to 2 naps a day. My question is, sometimes if i let her she would nap for 4 to 4.5 hours. I have been waking her after 3 hours max. Is more than 3 hours during a nap too much, or should i let her sleep. I know this is gonna make some people crazy at me for having a problem with a baby who sleeps alot, but trust me when i say i have paid my dues. lol. Oh and at night she sleeps form 8pm till 8 am.

My 13 year old son says the other morning..... (it had been snowing for 3 days now)....." I'm going to get suspended from school today because the principle said no throwing snowballs at school" Later that day he called home to say that he got suspended from school. For throwing a snowball at the back of someones head.
How would you deal with this?

I think breastfeeding is very important! My mother breastfed me until I was three and I think he thinks I want to do that, I don't! I have done research on it and found that it is reccomended to breastfeed exclusively for the first 6 months and continue with other solids at least for the first year and to continue thereafter until both myself and my baby decide to stop. I want to go from the breast to the sippy cup omitting the bottle completely. HOW CAN I EXPLAIN TO HIM HOW IMPORTANT BREASTFEEDING TRUELY IS? He also is dead set against me breastfeeding in public.... "it's wrong". I completely disagree.........H-E-L-P!!
