Probably a little girl. It's one of those names that comes from the tradition of giving a last name as a first name which is generally because you don't have a boy to carry on the family name.

Well..Madison is a great girls name...I think I would use Addison for a boy..not for a girl.

Addison is actually a unisex name. it could go either way depending on the person. I know of two girls named Addisyn.... It's up to you what you would like it to be.
