I don't think it's possible to fake a DNA test but the father to my daughter wanted one done before he would pay maintenence. All I had to do was take my daughter to any doctor of my choice (I didn't have to see my regular doctor)and give him a passport sized photo of her and a copy of the letter the lab had sent explaing to the Dr. how to carry out the test. When the results came back they were negative but I knew 100% that he was the dad so I contacted the testing lab. I was invited down to thier offices to look at the photo that my daughters father had provided. It wasn't him - It was one of his friends! Needless to say I didn't persue my claim for maintenence and I haven't seen or heard from him in over 6 years. Believe it or not he done me and my daughter the hugest favour imaginable!

I am not for minute suggesting that this has happend to your friend it's just my experience and I hope I have been of some use. Send her my best wishes and tell her she can make a great mum with or without a man around.

Well there are the rare cases where someones DNA can be false(just seen a program a little while back...the mom actually had her kids taken away and put in jail because genetically they came back as not hers although they really were...some people have two sets of DNA depending on what part of the body the sample is taken from.)
But....for the most part it is very accurate.

No you cant fake a dna test, unless she faked the paperwork and never had the test to begin with... but in her case of the paperwork coming up negative there's no way he's the father. The lab that did the test would never risk their integrity by screwing it up... HUGE lawsuits if they did. However if she's 100% sure I'd ***** that they fucked it up and threaten to get a lawyer unless they redo the dam test. :P

you can't fake it but there are mistakes in the lab and nothing is 100% certain....
and there are some people who have two sets of DNA in their bodies.... very rare but it means that one set may have been given to the baby whilst the other is the one gathered for the test... reading a negative paternity/maternity test.

I watched a documentary about some women whose DNA did not match that of their babies..nad they discovered that this was the reason..

no, you cannot fake DNA. the only case i have ever seen of someone faking DNA was a doctor that was raping patients while they were sedated. he put a fake tube in his arm with someone else's blood in it, so when they drew the blood the DNA didn't match. I doubt if the guy went to those extremes.

Of course. DNA testing is only as reliable as the people doing it.

no, there is no way around it, if it said he wasnt the dad, then he wasnt. dna tests are 100% accurate, thats why they go by DNA

well a DNA test is only 99.9% accurate but i will say that she slept with someone else if she is sure make them take an other exam.
