Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 January 2007

Im due to have my 20 week scan in 4 weeks. I am really undecided about what to do re finding out the sex! Part of me wants to know and part doesn't. Has anyone ever found out the sex and then wished they hadn't just cos its no longer a surprise? It is my first baby, husband wants to know but Im not sure. Also if he found out and didnt tell me we both know he would let it slip! What shall we do?

My son is almost 7 months old and still nursing. Sex is still uncomfortable, sometimes downright painful, I think due to dryness.( Lubes don't really help) I don't think it's the episiotomy, as that is healed - I am afraid I will never enjoy it again, and Hubby enjoys less knowing it is no good for me. Help!

he undewent a two stage surgery( urethroplasty) and he is functionally o.k.now .however his genital look a bit deformed and he has started questioning about it.he is 4 years of age.do i go for a plastic surgery for correction of the same or i wait for him to grow up .

I got about 5 of the Depo Provera birth control shots. The last one I got was in March 2006 and I decided not to get anymore because of what I had heard it does to you. Now, I would like to get pregnant, but I was told that Depo makes it hard to become pregnant? Is there anything I can do?

my bedroom is 8x8 (im 14) so that is were i spend my time and when i ask my parents (there room is 16x16 after they had a builder expand it from 10x10) if mine could be 10x10 they let lose cussing at me (if i said what they said i would get violation notice emails) iv only asked them twice or am i being greedy

I was wondering how the whole baby shower process works. Can you ask someone to host a shower for you? I have fam and friends in 3 different places. One person has volunteered so far, but do I need to give my mom or mother-in-law first dibs at throwing the showers? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I'm due to start my period on Wednesday. But because I've been trying to concieve, I'm anxious to find out if I'm pregnant. I've had symptoms from mild cramping to fatigue to sore breasts...all which could also be premenstrual sympoms. I let my anxiety get the best of me, and took one of those early response pregnancy tests this morning...and it was negative =( Again, I know I'm not suppose to get my period for another 2 days, but these tests claim to detect pregnancy 5 days before your period. I can still be pregnant, right - and it's just not registering yet? We just really want to start a family (I'm sorry, I've turned into one of these pee-on-a-stick-aholics...crazy what hormones can make you do Thank you!

My period was due on Tuesday, Jan 9th. I usually am regular every 28 days. I ALWAYS have protected sex but am still scared I am pregnant. I took two pregnancy tests (EPT and First Response) on 2 days late and 5 days late... both were negative. I was really sick this week with the flu and am still getting over it. Can that probably have something to do with it? I am also SO Stressed that I am thinking it will never come unlesss i calm down. What is wierd is that I have had cramps for about 4 days but then they stopped. Has this happened to anyone else?

I just need help because im panicking that i could be pregnant! Firstly, i started my period on friday and i was in a lot of pain so i thought i would take the pill to try and calm it down but on saturday i had slept with my boyfriend (as there wasn't blood) but the next day i started bleeding again and i keep getting stomach pains and i feel really bloated and if i pushed my stomach in i can feel it all blown up? why is this? i really hope im not pregnant as its too early to tell but please help me!

I've been babysitting the same kids for almost 3 years now. They're wonderful kids, ages 6 and 3(both girls), but since the oldest one has started kindergarten she hits or kicks me when she doesn't get her way, especially when I won't let her watch t.v.(their father doesn't want them watching more than 2 hours a day). The youngest doesn't do it as much but it's getting more frequent with her. When they do kick or hit me I tell them that it hurts me and ask them not to do it again, but they do it again anyways. What should I do?

we have an almost 11 month old, and we have an entertainment center with glass doors on the bottom that are operated by pushing on the top to "unstick" the magnets. one click to open, another to close. our son has figured out how to open it and get to the stuff inside. anyone have any suggestions on how we can keep him from opening it? right now we have a box in front of it, cuz we are moving and starting to pack, but when we are moved we don't want to keep a cardboard box in the middle of the living room! looks a little tacky, ya know? so any ideas are appreciated!!

Im 22 years old and I would love nothing more than to be pregnant but due to my boyfriend and my plans of buying a home soon to get out of our apt and getting a truck well um... well I think I might be which i want but at the same time dont cause i was waiting till he was ready... and she is biracial. Her father is black and I am white. She looks white! She has her father's features, but my question is...will she get darker? If you look at her you can tell she is african american but most people just think she is a little white girl, lol.

I honestly don't care what color her skin is, but everyone keeps asking me if she will atleast get to a shade where people will identify her as being mixed.

kicking, screaming, crying child? I tried sitting on him, immobilizing his arms and legs and his brother held his head...but he clamped his eyes shut. I tried to pry them open and get the drops in but I think he cried most of them out.

Before this seemingly barbaric situation, I had tried talking, bribing, cajoleing, threatening to take everything away before it got to that point. Believe me, the sitting on him thing was the last resort.

Anyone have any good ideas? We have to do it again this evening.
