he undewent a two stage surgery( urethroplasty) and he is functionally o.k.now .however his genital look a bit deformed and he has started questioning about it.he is 4 years of age.do i go for a plastic surgery for correction of the same or i wait for him to grow up .

You definetly need to consult a urologist again. Ask about furthur surgery to help correct the appearance of his genitals if at all possible. Usually, doctors say these surgeries are best performed while the child is young. You might find it wise to get 2 or 3 opinions. Also ask your family doctor to help you find a surgeon who specializes in this problem. I hope things go very well for your son.

Unless the deformity is causing him to malfunction (like problems urinating), most surgeons would probably advise you to wait until he stops growing - otherwise, it could be repeat surgeries.
