and she is biracial. Her father is black and I am white. She looks white! She has her father's features, but my question is...will she get darker? If you look at her you can tell she is african american but most people just think she is a little white girl, lol.

I honestly don't care what color her skin is, but everyone keeps asking me if she will atleast get to a shade where people will identify her as being mixed.

I am white and my hubby is black. My son was very white when he was born. He is 16 months old and is kind of olive. And yes, people know that he is mixed. His hair was straight when he was born , now it's so curly! My bf's daughter was the same way now she's 18 and pretty dark. That's my experience

as your daughter gets older she will most likely take on some darker features. all the people i know that have biracial kids all started out looking like white little ones lol!!! then they change. heck my daughters father and i are both white and my daughter came out with wavy black hair and had features of an african american. now shes pale as a ghost and changed a whole lot!! lol.....

My best friend just had her baby on oct. 28. Same situation, she is white, the Dad is black. The baby was born as white as my ***, but has gotten tanner over the past 2.5 months. This is my friend's second child with the same man. She said her first was the same way. Now her older child is 3 and looks like a beautiful mixed baby.

Some do get darker as they grow older. Some stay the color they are now, others get a little olive tone look to them. It should not matter really.. as long as you love her, her daddy loves her, and the rest of the society can go on with their own viewpoints.

Its not the color of the outer skin any way. We all bleed the same color of blood......RED.

Most likely she will. Most children, regardless of race, go through physical changes early in life. Skin color will become slightly darker, as the skin matures, hair color, and texture may change several time, eye color will make some subtle changes as well.

I think that skin tone could darken slightly, but I am not totally sure, I think mixed race people with white skin and black features are stunning, she will be a very pretty little girl.

If it doesn't matter to you what color her skin is then why even what to know. If her skin is already white then it is most likely going to stay white. But a few hours out in the sun everyday might make her skin darken so that people will know that she is mixed. But this is just what I think.

I had a friend that was biracial and she looked white until she hit puberty. She was beautiful. The color of her skin can range depending on if whose dominant trait she got.

Her skin color probably won't change but she might tan very easily as an adult, which would make her look darker. My husband is part white, and part hispanic, and he looks white in the winter and hispanic in the summer!

It's all down to genes, some people get white features (slimmer narrow etc) with black skin. Some get black features (larger nose, eyes etc) with whiter skin.
