I work as a surgical tech in the OR and nobody can answer that for you because it all depends on you recover from previous ones and everyone heals differently. Having repeat c-sections without complications depends on scar tissue. If you have a lot of scar tissue it will be harder for the surgeon to make the incision and harder for him to get the baby out. This will also cause problems when it comes to closing. I scrub in on these procedures routinely and have seen it all. There is no safe amount since nobody knows how your body will heal.

I've had 4, but any doctor will tell you that all surgeries carry risks along with them. As you have read in previous answers, many women have had multiple c-sections with no complications. I had a complications with one of mine(won't go into the details). Remember, c-sections should be used when a vaginal delivery is not an option. Don't schedule the surgery for "convenience reasons". Also, with multiple c-sections, your uterine muscles weaken and there is a risk of uterine rupture in subsequent deliveries. That's why after my 2nd c-section, a vaginal delivery was no longer an option. Hope this helps.

My doctor told me that he doesn't recommend more than 4, now I am not trying to scare you at all, but my 3rd pregnancy, my previous 2 were c sections, I was put on my bedrest during my 3rd pregnancy, the scarring from my previous csections caused me to have placenta previa and placenta accreta, the placenta was actually growing through my uterus, I delivered 4 1/2 weeks early, had spent the last 2 weeks before delivery in hospital. I had to have 2 blood transfusions and a hysterectomy, So it really depends on the woman and how much scar tissue she has, with each csection the risk increases.

I'm not sure if there is a limit to C-sections but they do say that it gets hard after too many because they need to avoid cutting scar tissue from the previous c-sections. I would definitely ask your doctor that question though. Good luck

Actually it depends on the woman. Some women can handle many c-sections, others cannot.

I've personally had 3 c-sections in 3 years. I chose not to risk another one. (My uterus almost ruptured with #2, very scary delivery and I went on to carry twins.Didn't want to take a chance.) I had my tubes tied as soon as my twins were delivered.

in the beginning, they would not might desire to decrease you down there. I purely ripped extremely and it truly wasn't that uncomfortable after some week. 2d, they have drugs so you might take throughout the time of hard paintings so as which you do not experience something. I absolutly felt not something throughout the time of my daughters start. third, i'm fairly beneficial that a c-area is extra painful afterwards to handle then a organic start. it is not from journey, yet they decrease you're abdomen AND UTERUS OPEN and that may not be in a position to experience to freakin sturdy after the medicine are long gone. And once you're in hard paintings the only element you're questioning approximately is getting the toddler out. All of this superficial stuff won't count number by that element. except you absolutly might desire to have a c-area, organic start is a thank you to circulate. that's the way God meant. i don't see any professional's to c-sections except the toddlers or your existence is in threat. sturdy success.. do not whimp out on something lady have been doing because of the fact the daybreak of time. that's not that undesirable

As many as needed, in most cases if one c-section has been done, then that is what the doctor would prefer to do. Also, these days the woman can decided to have an elective c-section, and this is more common than most would think.

well i have had two, but they say even after the first on it still is kinda dangerous because of scar tissue but just as long as the doc. can get to the baby it is all good. I am going to have to have c-sections from now on because i am really short and can not deliver correctly so i dont think there is really a limit.
