I'm due to start my period on Wednesday. But because I've been trying to concieve, I'm anxious to find out if I'm pregnant. I've had symptoms from mild cramping to fatigue to sore breasts...all which could also be premenstrual sympoms. I let my anxiety get the best of me, and took one of those early response pregnancy tests this morning...and it was negative =( Again, I know I'm not suppose to get my period for another 2 days, but these tests claim to detect pregnancy 5 days before your period. I can still be pregnant, right - and it's just not registering yet? We just really want to start a family (I'm sorry, I've turned into one of these pee-on-a-stick-aholics...crazy what hormones can make you do Thank you!

From my experience, those "Early tests" do not work. I have never gotten a + from any of them when I was indeed pregnant. Not even when I was pregnant with twins!

My results are never "dark" either. I tested a week late with my twins and you could barely see the line.

i've taken them as early as 5 days before i'm due to start and had them come up accurately; you should try and take them first thing in the morning as the HCG hormone will be highest then... and if they're negative and you still feel you may be pregnant wait until you have a missed period for more than one week.

I took those for a week straight when we were trying for our daughter,...wasting my valuable money. It told me i was negative right up and including the day i went to the clinic and found out i was. With this baby. I took the ept test 4 days before my period was to start, like it said i could...in the morning, first urine...negative. 5 days later, home pregnancy test, a cheap walmart one, told me i was positive, and that test was done at night. My suggestion is to WAIT and save your $$

Your hormone levels could just be low. I didn't know I was pregnant until I was almost 3 months along. I tried every test out there. Finally the store brand worked.

Good Luck!!!

Pee-on-a-stick-aholic? You'll be right at home at www.peeonastick.com (plus it will answer all of your questions). I can relate:)

Oh, yes you could still be pregnant. Do you chart? Charting can help you find out you're pregnant right after implantation (your bbt goes up even higher). I can't stand the long wait myself--LOVE charting...

God bless!
