It could be a hormonal imbalance, but you should visit your doctor if you are worried.

Remember that you will continue to have cycles, you just won't release an egg for implantation so if the surgery was successful you won't get pregnant. Otherwise, you will continue to have the monthy cycling that you had before the tubal ligation, including menstruation, premenstral symptoms, etc.

There are symptoms related to tubal ligation that we aren't often told about. There's a syndrom called post-tubal-ligation-syndrome (PTLS). This is somewhat controversial, but you might mention it to your doctor. Here is a list of presumed possible symptoms:

Castrative Menopause
Severe Hormone Imbalance
Ovarian Isolation (Post Hysterectomy, Post Tubal Ligation)
Atrophic Ovaries
Hormone Shock
Increased Risk of Heart Disease
Bone Loss and Osteoporosis
Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding (DUB)
PMS
Endometriosis
Adenomyosis
Severe Pelvic Adhesions
Misplacement of Female Organs
Decreased Lactating Ability

It is very possible. Just because you had your tubes tied doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. It isn't 100% effective
