Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 January 2007

okay, at the end of this month I'm moving 5 hours away to be a fulltime nanny for my cute baby nephew when his Mom goes back to work...I've cared for my nieces before and spent time with babies and love them so much..i just kinda wanna know what to expect and what I can do to be the best caretaker for him...I'll be with him mostly from 7am-3 pm weekdays...should I expect him to be on a pretty regulary feeding/ napping schedule by this point? you should know he arrived about 7 weeks early and he will be 10 weeks old and just over 6 lbs..(YAY! he's over doubled in weight since born!) when I start to care for him full time..any baby tips, Books, and adjustment changes to expect would be great...I want to do a great job for him and I love kids....THANKS!!!!!!!!~

ive tried everything with my 3 yr old the big girl panties the treats and the stickers she doesnt seem intrested she will go to the bathroom and do it n her diaper or panties or goes n a corner when knowone is looking. she doesnt seem to care if she wets her self or not she will sometimes go and change them by herself and then when i ask her why didnt she come tell me or just go to the bathroom she blames it on her 1yr old brother

and they didn't tell me my results but they scheduled me an appointment to the obgyn.....What do you think? (they didn't give me shots or anything..which everyone else got cause they are due in Febuary. What do you think and what shots would they not give you if you were pregnant?

curious i no they arnt 100% effective but..
who used a comdom and it never failed on them? and how many times have u used one without it failing?
oh yea, wat can cause a condom to bust or rip besides opening it wrong and it not being lubricated

My ex-husband and I share custody of my 8 year old daughter. He has primary placement and is a very good father. Last summer I went to Tx. to visit my father who just got out of surjury. He works everyday and left her with a friend. She was also babysitting her nephew. My daughter and I were watching T.V. tonight and something made her decide she needed to tell me that this little boy forced her into sexual activity. I know how children are with experimenting and all, but this went way beyond. She was crying while telling me that he told her if she didn't commit these acts that he would tell her father she did anyway. He forced her hand places on him and hurt her with penetration. She told his aunt who did nothing and so this continued thru the summer. I have no idea what to do. I have to tell her dad and because we don't get along i am afraid he will be more upset that she told me instead of him and not focus on the point. Soc. serv. is real bad here. What should I do?

My husband and I are having the hardest time deciding on a baby name. The lastest name (for a girl) we like is "Dhallie", or "Dallie". We were thinking of making it short for Dhalia, but I think it's cute all by itself. So, what do you think? Do you like it, or is it just too different? Thanks for the help... Ok, I used to go in the Adolescent section a lot but I stopped to go to a different section. I come back a few months later and see all these new people doing weird things! Who's cruz? Jess? Ryan? Good2shoes? Heartless Vampire? What are they doing on here? i know who tinkerbell is. I IMed her once and she was really rude. But here I am going into that again. The baby is way down in my pelvis area and adding a lot of pressure. I can barely walk or stand. At times i feel like she is on her way out. earlier this evening i didn't know whether i was having gas pains or contractions but the pain was severe. Is this normal or is something very much wrong?

My 3.5 year old son wants to do everything in 4's. like brush his teeth 4 times, eat 4 cookies, he wants to buy 4 turtles(where getting 2 this spring) ect. Is this a sign that he's becoming obsessive compulsive? Or is it just a 3 year old phase? BTW he can count to 20 so thats not it. Maybe 4 is his favorite number? He is a very bright kid, he knows he'll be 4 on his next birhtday, so maybe thats it?

i just found out i was eight weeks pregnant. i was a heavy smoker, pack a day, now that i found out i am pregnant 5 days ago i have limited smoking to two a day and tomorrow will start no smoking period. as long as i have now quit completely, will the baby have any effects of the smoking before i found out i was pregnant?

I'm 2 months pregnant, my boyfriend feels some kind of a way about me getting an abortion, he is not ready to be a father, which is understandable. He is against abortion but like i said, hes not ready. Fatigue is killing me right now, i can never go out and be happy or feel good. I am 39 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. Ever since last night I have been having contractions that seem regular and get strong, but then they subside after 4 hours or so. And then they come back slowly again! What the heck. So I feel as if I am in the early part of labor forever now! What could be going on? Also I just coughed and there was a warm gush of water or something that come down my leg! I doesn't really smell like anything, but is it possible that my water broke when I coughed?

I told this guy i love him. He doesn't love me or like me back. I keep telling myself since he doesn't love me back he's not the right guy. There are other fish in the sea but, I can't trust myself. My 4 year old son told me earlier that "i am not good dad and he wishes i would die so he could go live with ashley". Ashleys my ex girlfriend, shes not even his mom (his mom left 3 years ago). Ever since ashley and I have broken up I havent let her come around or let him call her. Im not sure if that was a good decision. He really loves her, and she loves him as if he were her own. I know he didnt mean what he said but it hurt and I dont know how to explain to him how mean it was. And I dont know if i should let Ashley come around either, I think she wants to but I dont know if id be comfortable with it.
