Pregnancy & Parenting - 14 January 2007

Teacher has sent note home saying 6 yr old ds, is talking too much at inappropriate times. He is only in kindergarten 3 hrs a day, M-F. (He has always been very good at following RULES and directions. I believe he is excited to see his friends.) I have been giving him a gentle reminder each morning before getting on the bus of how important it is to follow the classroom rules...
I have previously talked w/ him about Doing his best, Using his listening ears, Eyes on speaker, Raising his hand to ask a question, Following directions the 1st time given.
Any suggestions on how to move forward and help encourage more appropriate classroom behavior would really be appreciated.

I'm wondering if this just a short phase or the start of a character problem if not handled and guided appropriately. Please share any similiar experiences and what worked or did not and how long is a reasonable time to expect a change. I am confussed, I thought Kindergarten should be a fun experience

They stayed with me until he was 5, then she married & moved out-of state. I dont think the move was good for him. he did not know her husband very well. My question is what are some of the reasons a child would continuely bite his nails?

Im not ABSOLUTLY POSITIVE that i am pregnant but if i am are these symptoms normal to be having this early?

okay so i have a question about ovulation...I know roughly 14 days after the first day of ur period if your on a 28 day cycle etc...my question is what should i look for?? Late last night before bed I had a slimey mucas whitish looking come out when i wipped...IS this the time? My son was taken from my home when he was 2 weeks old ( born a month premi) He was 2 oz. shy his birth weight. And now the DSS and nurse that comes to your house is giving me a hard time. He is my first son and it kills me everyday/everynight when he's not with Me. Now I have to go to a shrink because they said I'm depressed. ( of corse your gonna be depressed when your child is taken from you when you had a dramatic delevory.) But I dont feel/seem depressed and I also have to go to parenting classes. Which is a slap-in-the-face when all the other mom's have their kids and I'm sitting there watching 'em all have fun together and my son's in a foster home with a little boy that likes to smack my son in the face. And he's only 10 months old so he can't defend him self. And if I say anything to the foster mom my case-worker will ***** at Me about it. Then they let the 'father' not sure if he is,let him see him when he abandoned him when he was a couple months old. I need help with this!!!

She has had these off and on since she was born? I figured she must have inherited my extremely sensitive skin, so I make sure to wash her bedding and clothes in hypoallergenic detergent and dryer sheets. I have tried Eucerin cream and a Johnson's product that looks like a deodorant stick and is for cheeks and dry patches on baby's skin. Those kind of work but still don't get rid of the problem. Have any of you had this problem? I'm pretty sure it is just because her skin is dry, because I get similar looking red patches on my skin when it is dry. Are there any products you have used that you think I should try? Or should I finally just ask a doctor if they know of anything that might help or what the problem might be? I was sure it would clear up on its own as she got older, but she is nearing 11 months now and still has the problem? I asked her old doctor about it when she was about 6 months, but she was not concerned and didn't give me any suggestions on how to treat it..

What exactly is implantation bleeding? About a week ago i had discharge that almost felt like my period... I went to the bathroom and it was clear almost water discharge... I am expecting my period tomorrow (1/15)... I have been feeling tired, having headaches, peeing a lot, and having light cramping... do u think it could have been implantation bleeding?

Yea! I just found out that we're having another baby! This was planned, but getting the positive result just drove reality home.

My main concern is to make the transition for my older child as smooth as possible. I feel that we do have a little bit of an advantage because he has to share me with my 15 wk old niece 5 days a week, so he's used to including another baby in our routine. However, this is going to be way different, isn't it?

I guess what I'm looking for is advice, personal experiences, and anything else that may prove helpful. My goal is to be as educated and equipped as possible.

My daughter turns three in February and has showed no interest in potty training until recently. We put her in underwear this morning, as she requested and she has been in them all day except for during her earlier nap. We have been taking her to the potty every half hour or so, and ask her constantly if she has to go. She peed one time in the potty earlier, but has also peed through her underwear several times. Now she almost throws a fit each time we ask her if she has to use the potty, or we sit her on it. Should we offer an incentive for just sitting on the potty since she resists it so much? Should we offer her an additional incentive for actually peeing in the potty? I know this is the first day we have started training, want to start off on the right foot.

I have taken 5 pregnancy tests and i have skipped two periods im having period symptoms but there also pregnancy symptoms such as sore boobs bloating...i have an appointment tuesday to go and get birth control from a clinic and they are doing a pap smear so i woundering if the that will tell me if i am or if i am not for sure not pregnant...please let me know
