She has had these off and on since she was born? I figured she must have inherited my extremely sensitive skin, so I make sure to wash her bedding and clothes in hypoallergenic detergent and dryer sheets. I have tried Eucerin cream and a Johnson's product that looks like a deodorant stick and is for cheeks and dry patches on baby's skin. Those kind of work but still don't get rid of the problem. Have any of you had this problem? I'm pretty sure it is just because her skin is dry, because I get similar looking red patches on my skin when it is dry. Are there any products you have used that you think I should try? Or should I finally just ask a doctor if they know of anything that might help or what the problem might be? I was sure it would clear up on its own as she got older, but she is nearing 11 months now and still has the problem? I asked her old doctor about it when she was about 6 months, but she was not concerned and didn't give me any suggestions on how to treat it..

Sounds like something similar with my boys. It cleared up when we switched to all cotton clothes, blankets and sheets.

Sometimes babies get what pediatricians call "baby acne" it's just their bodies adjusting the hormonal changes since birth. My mom has nine kids, I am the oldest. Sounds like your baby may have this... My mom has used Nivea face cream - no baby lotion on the face, just that stuff. It seems to work out.
Sometimes babies only have it for the first few months, sometimes longer... I'm sure it will clear up. See if the Nivea cream works.

It could be a little heat rash if she sleeps on that side or if it has been warm outside. My son gets them too sometimes and they dont last long but we are both fair skinned and he also gets diaper rashes easily. I've also found that if I just wipe his mouth with a paper towel after meals he may still have milk or food other places on his face. Wash her face with a warm wet washcloth after she eats or has a bottle or nurses so that it is clean. if it gets dry from this try a little aquaphor. it works great on babies for dry skin. it kinda just feels like grease so just use a little. =) really shouldnt be much t o worry about.

Sounds like eczema. There really is no treatment to cure this, but using over the counter lotions and creams can help each breakout. Sounds like you have been doing the right thing. She may grow out of it yet, and it is likely that it will move away from her cheeks as she gets older.

I have to tell you that I had a similar problem with my daughter. The doctor mentioned that cream too and nothing happened. Only until I decided to go to an actual dermatoligist was she cured with some special cream. Do that. Good luck.

Baby's can get what looks like baby acne, and sometimes it's eczema. Usually it ends up going away on it's own. I remember with my boys they had it too, and no matter how much I moisturized their skin or washed their clothes nothing really seemed to help. They just eventually outgrew it.

if it's tiny bumps it is probably baby acne which will clear up on it's own. otherwise, it's probably eczema and will need to be treated with a high strength hydro-cortisone cream. Sometimes you can treat it with a over the counter cream, but it's better to get a script from your pediatrician.

Use aquaphor (not real sure of the spelling) and it should clear it up. I had the same problem with my youngest son and that cleared it up.
